UT is on the verge of pulling in a solid class, this stuff happens. How does FSU fans feel. Corey miller gave them the hand. So it will happen again most likely but Im sure UT will steal a few recruits. Maybe Lane found a better WR that he is sure he can pull and knows that there is not as many schollys to give this late to everybody and made the decision to move on w/out tellin cobbs to decommit on his own so he still looks good to othe HS players and will maintain relationships with other in the Ok area.

Yeah it did happen it's on espn recruiting. Damn!!!! I was so excited to have big utility players like cobbs an nu'keese. Ow well.

My post? Trolling Texas's board? I've never even been to a Texas board. The only other team board I've ever even posted on is Tiger Droppings.

I don't think this is the case. What I take from the Texas article is he had lost contact with Texas coaches for a couple months and then they got back in touch with him. Their article says UT which they mean Texas not Tennessee. He just committed a little over a month ago. So you know we have been in contact since the commitment....

I don't think we wanted to lose this kid at all. Of course that is just IMO. But I thought he was a solid peice of the puzzle with this class....

Your posts are on flippy floppy, claiming that you didn't want Demarco to begin with. That is just my pet peeve when someone decommits or goes somewhere else, and people say that. Sorry for the rage.

Well fellas, it's off to bed, don't be too upset , yeah he would have been good for us, but look at the 4 and 5 star guys coming in this weekend, I would take wny of hem over Cobbs.

This is a mere bump in the road.

take off the orange glasses peeps, we're gonna get pounded in recruiting this year and next. we'll probably land a *** qb next year when theres a lot of good ones like bridgewater. if we don't land him next year we're screwed

No. I understand. I was really never that high on him to begin with though. I wish it was easier to find my post. I did compliment him on the fact that he is big and could run over defensive backs. I was never sold on him being great though on his highlights and yes, 40 time. I am not one to always buy into 40 times but he also didn't have a good vertical either. That to me says he probably isn't that athletic. One or the other being bad I understand. But both? That's a red flag. Yeah... I probably shouldn't talk crap about a 17 year old but I was just being honest.

I guess I am just not that heart broken over losing him because I never really cared if we got him before he committed. That's all I can say on it.

Can we not just wish the kid the best of luck? I would have liked to keep him, but this kinda stuff happens. I mean we stole Janzen Jackson, Nuke, and Teague at the last minute last year so it kinda comes full circle. Players also change their minds about things and make adjustments accordingly. Best of luck Demarco. Here's to meeting in a National Championship in a few years.

I have no problem wishing him luck. I hope he is successful. I am just not going to pretend I really wanted him when I never cared one way or the other. I hope he does prove me wrong. I have nothing against him. I just didn't think he appeared that fast in his film or was that athletic to begin with.

The guy saying Tennessee who currently has a top 10 recruiting class "is going to get pounded in recruiting this year and next" is spot on. That guy is a legit fan.
