If the coaches aren't allowed to call the recruits, it's pretty common for the recruits to call the coaches. I'm not sure what the recruiting guidelines are at this point in time, but maybe coaches aren't allowed to call recruits yet.
Who calls a school? Sounds desperate.
I don't remember being so indecisive in high school, but I've learned quickly that it's a trait among todays recruits.
Here are my thoughts on Cobbs. You may not agree with them, it's jmo:
- Ambles is a better WR than Cobbs and it's not real close
- Dunkley is higher on UTs offensive board. I Chris he is Gran's #1 target
- We will get at least 1 more WR who will be on the same level, if not better than Cobbs
- Meline has more upside at WR than Cobbs
- He would have been a Safety here, and he might be one at Texas as well. They even told him they didn't know where they were gonna play him...
- I'm not sure we will get a Safety better than Cobbs. I think he was gonna be mean...
What are you talking about? He just now committed to Texas. They haven't had time to start recruiting him...
I can agree with all of that, but isn't Meline wavering in his commitment as well?
Tclowers, I think many people expected Crompton to never get his head right.
Many people including me expected us to get smoked by Alabama.
Now many of us are hopeful we will finish 8-4. If that happens, we will be the hottest team in the country recruiting wise, with the best recruiting staff in the country. Cobbs will not be the last decommit, and you will show up each time and say "just because they did not call that kid for 3 weeks or send him any letters does not mean they cooled on him"
Are you trying to say UT's staff didn't call Cobbs for 3 weeks or send him any letters, because that's how it seems...
If you have evidence of this, I will concede that the staff "cooled" on Cobbs. However, I doubt this is the case.
