That's the way your type rolls. You don't argue something on merit. You judge an act against some legal point dug up in prior court decisions. This one is simple. Trump was "voted" out of office; he's not president; you can't remove him; game's up; you lost ... again. The fact that Trump is even being impeached at this point seems dangerously close to "ex post facto" law since impeachment has never before been retroactively retroactively applied against a president no longer in office. In other words, your side is making it up on the fly, and you'll probably find as usual that expediency like karma is a bitch.

At a minimum, ex post facto prohibits legislatures from passing laws which retroactively criminalize behavior.

I've always heard ignorance is bliss; you seem to be reveling in it. BTW unlike earlier in DC, this "riot" didn't leave cop cars and other property in flames or otherwise rendered unusable. Remember congress was immediately back in session once the rowdies were ushered out, and except for your AOC clown, nobody in congress was actually "threatened". Also nobody has released the official cause of death for a capitol cop "killed by protestors"; it's generally a fairly straight forward process to connect death and wounds. "Sensationalism" is the word when words are far more dramatic than the deeds they "portray".
