So now Mitch McConnell is cool because he backs your narrative? Sounds like you guys are the s desperate ones. Seems like liberals are so scared that Trump will win again, that they tried a ridiculous attempt to impeach a private citizen. It backfired. Now you, your party and those that voted to impeach look like imbeciles.

It played out the way everyone knew it would, except I didn't think as many as 7 Republicans would vote to convict, and I didn't think we would get McConnell on the record with such a sharp rebuke of Trump. Why would any liberal be concerned with whether or not Trump runs in 2024? That is actually what I would prefer.

Why would they be worried about Trump winning again when the guy “with dementia, who barely campaigned, never left his basement, couldn’t muster up more than a dozen for a rally, etc, etc” just whipped him in what Trump would describe as a landslide (306-232).

Two of the 7 are retiring and not running again. My guess is Romney will not run again but if he does he'll lose in the primary. Susan Collins is a net gain for Republicans. Sure she flips occasionally but she's the only person who can hold that seat for Republicans so I'm good with her. Murkowski is not a Republican. She's an independent that caucuses with Republicans. I'd like to see a real Republican take her seat and that could happen
