Department of Government Efficiency - DOGE

It's going to be interesting to see what congress does, since the lights are shining on them do they start passing clean bills and cut spending or do they fight?

Exactly right. What will they do? Will they continue the omnibus approach or get off their lazy asses and get their pencils out?

I’m not optimistic. They all seem happy to have someone else doing the dirty work while they yap in front of the cameras.

Honestly it disgusts me. If these guys had principles, they’d be ashamed to show their faces. They’ve knowingly funded all this for years and keep coming back to the trough for more.

That might depend on the amount of criminal indictments. Meaning, the Orange Man has a ways to go... although its only been three weeks. Crazy. He's like a machine.🤣

I would say people are getting the drift, the public is.... these people (politicians) really have no support but they might not know it yet.

Congress has abdicated so much of their power to the executive branch I'm not sure they even remember how to legislate.

Well, let's see if you want to be engaged in this yourself. If a Vice President of the U.S. admits on camera that he pressured a foreign government to drop a major criminally investigation against one's son and used $1 billion in U.S. funds as the blackmail would you think that person probably should be prosecuted for crimes?

Do you think a President and Vice President that plan and execute the murder of a 16 year old American without due process should be prosecuted?
Don’t confuse his orange man bad syndrome with facts. We ALL know the entire system is completely corrupted…we’re just making light on the complete and total corruption of the crack head pedos dad for the moment and he feels a need to deflect for some odd reason.

They have thrown everything at Trump, even tried to kill him twice. Do you seriously think if he was on that list it wouldn't have been leaked out the last couple of years?

They can circle back around to pee tapes, russia gate, assassins, etc. I guess... but this is like watching Idiocracy at this point i.e. the crops are dying.

I’m sorry but I’m not buying his cop out. Congress owns the power of the purse. They’ve suspected these things for a long time, according to Johnson, yet still continue appropriating larger and larger sums of money.

In what world does this make sense? In a family or a private business, you would say I’m not giving you a penny more until you can show me how you’ve managed what you already have. These guys had years where they could have done this. They just didn’t have the nuts for the brawl.
My thoughts exactly when I heard that steaming pile of a stump. It looks like there will be two classes of diversion as this all comes out:

The dirty Dems screeching and creating their 5 minutes of hate every 10 minutes, hoping people are stupid enough to be diverted from what's being revealed.

The dirty Republicans who clutch their pearls at the system they were participating in all along.

Drain it.

Partyism will be the thing that keeps this cesspool swirling.

What the F🤬 do you think Trump is getting out of it?

Since he first announced he has become the left's boogeyman.

You cereal?

LOL that you and @hog88 think that Donny is doing this for anyone but himself.

Trump’s foreign business interests: 144 companies in 25 countries

Trump’s foreign business partners tout his presidency while promoting projects

Donald Trump’s Overseas Business Empire Is Growing. So Is the Risk of Ethical Conflicts.

It's so unclear what the point of DOGE is. They keep moving the goalposts. It started with a goal eliminating $2T in government waste and has pivoted 35 times in a matter of weeks.
You f'ing serious? It's pretty clear what it's goal is we've been posting it for two weeks now.

Maybe they keep moving the goalposts is because they have found out just how corrupt the deep state federal bureaucracy is most of it going to stupid lliberal ideals.

I have no doubt Trump has done this to help his own business ventures out. So what?

Follow along here.

When the posted targets change, perhaps you can claim a pivot.

As far as i know $2T is the target.

Does it need to be explained to you why a president using executive order to dodge a law that would hold his corruption accountable for personal monetary gain is bad?

Do you need someone to draw you a map? You aren't this dim. You're clearly trolling me. I get it. Well done.

Yes, draw me a map. Also explain how it won't apply to any other US corporation.

Funny that just now you're concerned about a president using his powers for personal gain.

Get out of here with that 💩!

Trump was the only President in over a hundred years who had his net worth drop while in office. How about you libs go dig into Barry and Joe's financials and get back to us.

Why? Are you disputing that they've pivoted a bunch of times?
It'd be nice to hear what the pivots were. As far back as I can remember, it was to ferret out waste and corruption in the gov't.

Here's an article from December, before Trump was even sworn in, that says that the plan is/was:

They plan to 'work hand in hand on cutting down the bureaucracy and reining in tax dollar abuse,' the source familiar with their discussion said.

If the plan has always included rooting out tax dollar abuses, then I would not consider anything they've done so far a "pivot" as much as different steps along the same path.

Looks like they found a lot of bureaucracy and abuse of tax dollars in the USAID coffers. Looks like they'll be looking for same in Dept of Ed, pentagon, etc. And I would say that asking how bureaucrats become millionaires on their salary would fall under looking for abuse of tax dollars.

Help me see your point.

He ain't making that mistake again.

Also, Covid. Practically everyone's net worth dropped while he was in office.

Not sure why you're deflecting to Joe and Barry, they aren't a part of this argument. They didn't seem to feel the need to EO a law away that could hold them accountable for foreign bribery, but thanks for allowing me to point that out.

It was a joke. 35 times is just a made up number, but the point is they've pivoted several times.

Stated purpose per EO is "modernizing Federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity." As part of the purpose, they are identifying waste and corruption. Where have they pivoted from these objectives?

You don't realize you're telling on yourself with this post. You illustrate that you don't understand what the original goal was. When DOGE was announced, Ramaswamy and Musk had an Op-Ed detailing that they would focus on cutting federal regulations and working with congress to cut spending. The goal was $2T in waste eliminated. Then it was $1T. Then the focus changed. They have since pivoted several times, and aren't doing any of this, which is why Ramsawamy dipped out.
