Department of Government Efficiency - DOGE

Stated purpose per EO is "modernizing Federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity." As part of the purpose, they are identifying waste and corruption. Where have they pivoted from these objectives?

The EO came after the plan changed. See my post:

You don't realize you're telling on yourself with this post. You illustrate that you don't understand what the original goal was. When DOGE was announced, Ramaswamy and Musk had an Op-Ed detailing that they would focus on cutting federal regulations and working with congress to cut spending. The goal was $2T in waste eliminated. Then it was $1T. Then the focus changed. They have since pivoted several times, and aren't doing any of this, which is why Ramsawamy dipped out.

You f'ing serious? It's pretty clear what it's goal is we've been posting it for two weeks now.

Maybe they keep moving the goalposts is because they have found out just how corrupt the deep state federal bureaucracy is most of it going to stupid lliberal ideals.
I doubt they are very surprised at what they are revealing. Trump had 4 years inside the system, but the system tied his hands for that 4 years, and had him playing defense. Now he's in with a directive and the will of the people.

What does that mean to be on Epstein client list. There is no doubt Trump was associated with him until he was convicted.

If there is evidence of Trump engaging in criminal activity, the same question I would have.... why isn't there been more indictments?
Because there are too many people from power-wielding facets of life that were there too. I doubt we ever see an uncorrupted list.

Your full of it. From the op-ed: "Most government enforcement decisions and discretionary expenditures aren’t made by the democratically elected president or even his political appointees but by millions of unelected, unappointed civil servants within government agencies who view themselves as immune from firing thanks to civil-service protections...We will focus particularly on driving change through executive action based on existing legislation rather than by passing new laws."

I can only assume your pivot from a claimed libertarian to what ever you are now is that your income is dependent on government waste.

You cereal?

LOL that you and @hog88 think that Donny is doing this for anyone but himself.

Trump’s foreign business interests: 144 companies in 25 countries

Trump’s foreign business partners tout his presidency while promoting projects

Donald Trump’s Overseas Business Empire Is Growing. So Is the Risk of Ethical Conflicts.

Get out of here with that 💩!

Trump was the only President in over a hundred years who had his net worth drop while in office. How about you libs go dig into Barry and Joe's financials and get back to us.

So Vivek leaving has absolutely nothing to do with him running for Governor of Ohio next year?

Yet they are still cutting government waste. They also probably didn't realize until they started digging how much democrats were stealing from American taxpayers across multiple government agencies.

They're talking about regulation in that statement.

Your assumption is stupid, unsurprisingly.

It wasn't just Democrats stealing.

You're allowing yourself to be trolled.

How so? He asked how Donald could possibly benefit from EO'ing a law away that would hold him accountable.

I simply pointed out a long list of his foreign deals that could be directly influenced by this EO.

It took like 30 days before acting like Donny is some bulldozer for corporate altruism who cares about "justice and accountability."

Can't make this stuff up. Your boy Cage was genuinely offended that someone might suggest that Trump would dismantle guardrails that might keep him accountable.

That was the story on day 1, but who didn't smell that **** pie from a mile away?

You’re really splitting hairs here. So two guys had different visions for how they would accomplish the goal? Two large egos in a power struggle and the loser takes his ball and goes home. Stop the presses.

I think Elon’s approach is correct. Why work through the guys who allowed the problem to persist? They’d be in committee for years.

If you don’t like DOGE just come out and say it. Will sound a lot better than claiming goalposts are moving.

Claiming someone has foreign dealings doesn't really mean anything. That's like saying someone might have committed murder because they have a knife. You looking for "accountability" but you are not providing any reasonable facts at to the discussion i.e. 🥥🥜🍩🌰🔩

This is your basic problem that I doubt anyone can help you with. 🤷‍♂️

I don't think you understand why I posted this. We're talking about how it started, not what's your/my personal opinion of the best approach.

But then you indicate you do understand why I posted it with the last sentence, so I'm confused.

Edit: but seriously....you think DOGE can do more good with their current approach than just focusing on cutting regulation? Good luck with that.

Biden admitted to it on camera, just like Obama admitted to murder on camera and Hillary to serious security felonies but he didn't seem to care about any of that.

Mental illness or npc comes to mind.

I understand. Your point doesn’t make sense.

You use evidence of one of the founders leaving as support for some mythical pivot. You are splitting hairs over methods versus goals.

The goal remains the same as has been stated since late 2024: slash $2T from government spending.

I showed you their tracker. The goal still say $2T. So what is the real issue?

I'm just going off what Elon said about $1T. Maybe they are still shooting for $2T, but it didn't sound like it based on what he said.

It's not a mythical pivot. They said they would cut regulation. That's not the target anymore, it's just spending that they hate, which is fine in a lot of cases, but it's a hell of a pivot.

One of the great aspects of cutting regulation is that it's very difficult to challenge. I see $37B on the board. Who knows how much of that will stand? Who knows how much of those savings will be lost to court battles over it.
