Department of Government Efficiency - DOGE

I’ve convinced everyone in politics lies most of the time. But I wonder what they found in the 999 other receipts. Were they more lies? Or were those receipts legitimate savings?

So, did NBC focus on a 1/1000? Or was the receipt release rife with inaccuracies?

Lol. You haven't heard? Double-counting savings. Counting full contract amounts when big portions of the contracts had already been paid for. Counting $8m as $8b.Etc.

More fraud in their reported numbers than anything they've found yet.

.....and when has the left ever been concerned about the debt...

Trump added 8 trillion to the national debt his first term. Doesn't seem like anyone cares, left or right. Dollars to donuts, when the dust settles from this who DOGE dog and pony show, Trump will have run up another massive deficit.

I saw some of the baby momma stuff, but didn’t dive deep into it. From little I saw, I didn’t see anything overly concerning there either.
I wonder if the people who discount claimed cuts as mere "rumors" until they see hard proof receipts, are using the same level of skepticism for the claims against Trump and Elon...

They have to be actual spending cuts for a valid amount. The inaccuracies around many of these claims are a real hit to credibility

I’ll judge more on the bottom line when the budgets/deficits are seen over the next few years than I will from any tweet.

If your point is simply that Elon should look into what he tweets prior to tweeting it more often, agreed. But there seems to be a level of distain for both him and then entire process of cutting spending within this thread and society in general that I have 0 level to comprehend.

Much of it seems based in equally misleading information (ignoring baby mommas who are begging for help, following 17 year olds, or that FAA cuts are to blame for any airline issues)

I have to update my AVP every week. Shouldn't be hard.
Would be too much information to run through in practice, but the idea is perfectly reasonable. I would ask for a weekly status report from all department heads or rolled up to a higher level, they can then flow down the request as needed.

I work in the private sector and this is SOP. If somebody isn’t producing they get let go. None of this should be a jobs program, people should be getting paid to produce, plain and simple.

Idk what counts as "concerning" to you but she said she had been trying to reach him for several days and he hadn't responded, and that he's barely seen his kid or tried to. So he unfollowed her and started slandering her instead.

These are also pretty weird

You literally voted in murders into the oval office, I think things will be fine.

Firing people then having to immediately rehire them to keep the lights on is what Musk did at twitter. That's not what he needs to do when dealing with other people's money. They're trying to take victory laps in the first quarter

Then there's the talk about a massive govt handout being billed as a "dividend." What savings?

At the end of the process, and when the numbers come in a few years you can do a comparison. If you don't like the numbers right now, nothing wrong with that... mistakes will be made ie full process.
