I don’t trust Elon Musk and distrust his principals. I also don’t agree with the premise of your question. Sounds like another narrative that is building steam for the Democrats.

I highly doubt it will happen but I might change my mind if DOGE is moderately successful. I’ll believe it when I see it.

One has to be very naive to think that any bills or laws are not exempt from public influence, and the more powerful the supporter the greater the influence. There is a littany of weathy Dem donors that use their, but are just not as public. Frankly, nothing but jealousy with Musk being the wealthiest and most influential.

He bought the presidency and is running the country through twitter???

Biden is still in office. He's the current president. Musk is bypassing Biden, the man incapable of running for president but still capable of being president?

Stop playing dumb. You know that as far as voting on a bill goes, Republicans have let Trump tell them how to vote for years. Remember the border bill Republicans killed because Trump told them to, just so he could campaign on how bad the border is? The Republic party is owned by Donald Trump, whether he is in office or not. That's why it's so embarrassing. A reality TV star with multiple bankruptcies and multiple sexual assault accusations. That's who you hitch your wagon to.

Did Musk misrepresent anything in the bill? If not, then he's not the problem. What would be scary, is if his presentation of what was in a nearly 2,000 page bill, wasn't understood by representatives and thus they changed their mind. I also see no problem with reps becoming terrified of being outed as supporting bullshat and being held to account for their votes. Musk can't toss them from office. Voters can. If he's giving voters accurate info then whats the problem?

It’s probably not a terrible strategy. Trump has a massive ego, and doesn’t like to appear as a second in any scenario.

It could work - this attempt to drive a wedge between Trump & Musk.

Yep. If Trump agrees with Elon or RFK they’ll pretend that person is really running things.

If Trump disagrees with them, the media will focus on it and attempt to make that disagreement into a wedge
