Of course it is. It's a distraction. That's it. Elon gets his little pet project, has favor with Trump, and gets his spaceship money. Not a coincidence he and Bezos jumped in with piles of cash.I heard the rumors that he already fell out of favor with the admin, which is troubling because he was the one guy I kinda trusted to bring about some efficiencies. Of course, you take the rumors with a grain of salt, but would he really need to resign now to run for governor? Why? Why accept the position if he was gonna run then? I fear DOGE's going to be a **** sandwich.
Elon also got his Blackrock money for AI. That's the one that would be the most worrisomeOf course it is. It's a distraction. That's it. Elon gets his little pet project, has favor with Trump, and gets his spaceship money. Not a coincidence he and Bezos jumped in with piles of cash.
Efficiency would be getting rid of DOGE and Congress doing its job by utilizing the CBO and their investigative powers.

no, it will be effective.
But he has to actually do it, and it's not as easy as it sounds. And as glad as I am that Trump won, I don't think he actually has the sack to make the serious cuts needed. If Trump shut down many of these bureaucratic depts like Dept of education, there will not be many of them left..much easier to control the few left.
he has the sack to run illegals out of the country, surely that sack is big enough to run bureaucrats out of Washington. But he has to do it, and it's not as easy as it sounds. And as glad as I am that Trump won, I don't think he actually has the sack to make the serious cuts needed.
I think you are drastically overestimating the ability of the President to actually make that kind of decision, despite what power they (in theory) should have. Even his EO about RTO for feds gave, in my opinion, way too much leeway to SESs (who are often morons) to counter the direction.he has the sack to run illegals out of the country, surely that sack is big enough to run bureaucrats out of Washington.
If these bureaucrats do not show up to work, they will get let go. Letting go of say 75k overpaid bureaucrats can save billions of dollars over a few years.
How many has he run out? So far all he's done from a size-of-government perspective is add an agency (the "ERS")he has the sack to run illegals out of the country, surely that sack is big enough to run bureaucrats out of Washington.

I am going with the idea the majority the Reps have in Congress will go along with Trump, making it easy to do what they want.I think you are drastically overestimating the ability of the President to actually make that kind of decision, despite what power they (in theory) should have. Rockets do not get launched like that and no one else, including Elon, has been dumb enough to say it was a rocket. You might not understand it, but they don’t go straight up. Elon has put up a few of them. Part of his comments even made a reference to something like humanity moving forward. Something often in the space expiration dialogue.
But you think he’s trying to emulate Adolph?
