Derek Chauvin trial

Unlikely. SCOTUS almost certainly isn’t going to take this case.

Looking at his direct appeal, he raised 12 issues that were all shot down. I wonder how many of those were discussed in here, but not enough to go back and look.

He's just looking for a Hail Mary which is understandable given his position. Why not? Having said that I think his odds of success are pretty much nil IMO.

Don't think the SCOTUS would take the case but I'd be curious if they did...if they did I think the jurors/riot angle is their strongest point....it'd be hard pressed to find anyone that didn't have the rioting in the back of their head during that trial.

So wait... did the jury hand down the wrong verdict in your mind?

Did you see the video? I don't understand what you mean.
Yes I did...chauvin was utilizing his training on an subject whom was loaded with drugs and resisting...during that time the drugs in Floyd's systems caused his death in conjunction with the physical activity. Which is why ma slaughter is charge he was guilty of....any others are politically motivated charges...I also think anywhere outside out a heavy Dem area and he gets a fairer trial...I think is the SCOTUS does take the case he will get reduced sentencing....most outside of that area as well felt the presence of the rioting, threats etc, effected the jury.

If a black man can be unfairly convicted and sentenced because a mob surrounds the court house, then a white man committing a crime against a black man gets the same justice. That’s what SCOTUS needs to rule on.

Which other trial are you referring to,????

So we agree that manslaughter is the correct charge?
