Question for any lawyers: If the prosecution argues facts not in evidence in its closing or rebuttal, is that grounds for reversal or mistrial? In rebuttal, Jerry Blackwell used a graphic which showed 17,000 dots, each representing a day in GF's life. He used the graphic to argue the extreme odds that GF would die from any of his various underlying medical conditions at the exact day and time that GF was being restrained by Chauvin. I thought this was a pretty powerful graphic. However, I understood Blackwell to argue that GF suffered from all of his underlying medical conditions every one of the 17,000 days. No evidence was introduced, by either party, to support this argument. There was much evidence about GF's recent medical history, but no evidence about the vast majority of those 17,000 days, probably as much as 15,000 - 16,000 of those days.
