Without reading all 11 pages, how big of a get is this for UT? I'm not trolling, I just don't keep up with the "booms" as much as other posters.

Is a huge pick up for UT because he can help or is it a huge pick up because he isn't going to an opponent?

Thanks

I gave my dogs some goulash of bacon, sausage, hamburger and rice. They looked at me. Gave me a little heads up and went outside to bark. This is the best news tonight.

They always enjoy the grub better the second time

He's a huge pick up for UT. Watch Darrell's highlight tape and judge for yourself. He's awesome!

Scott's very good. Great change of direction, cutting ability, and he makes guys look silly in the open field. Great hands and he's used to the read option/getting the ball out of the shotgun and pistol.

Great, great compliment to Hurd's style.

Very excited about all three running backs we've got coming in.

And the one we have coming back. Lane is a beast that can pound it out for yards. No finesse, just pure brawn up the middle

Whoever “X” is on Tony Basilio’s blog makes a compelling argument for the significance of Scott’s commitment (see The Tony Basilio Show). He points out that Scott is a “composite 4 star prospect” whom ESPN ranks as the 109th best prospect nationally and the 11th best running back. He concludes that Scott’s commitment was significant for a number of reasons, first as a means of demonstrating continued inroads on recruiting within North Carolina. He speculates that “Scott will have every bit of the impact on the 2014 season as North had on the 2013 season.... if not a bigger impact.” I don’t know if he is correct on the following observation or not, but “X” also says that this was the first major recruiting victory by Tennessee in head-to-head battle with the Chicken Nation in quite some time, a coup which was magnified by the fact that Scott was “the #1 running back on South Carolina's board,” had been committed to them for a long time and we landed him at the eleventh hour of recruiting season. Additionally, Scott had a serious list of suitors, with offers from Florida, Oregon, Ohio State, Florida State and South Carolina among others. In projecting Scott’s immediate impact, “X” notes that “Scott and Hurd have skill sets which complement each other . . . [and the] speed upgrade these kids bring should be obvious before the first quarter of the Utah State game. . . . Scott's profile says he runs a 4.5 forty dash but in watching his film he sure looks faster.”

No, you are right. I will choose to ignore any and all problems. I will put my fingers in my ears and sing la la la anytime someone wants to discuss any concerns with the team. I won't expect excellence from Tennessee. Instead I will keep saying next year or the year after that.
Thanks for showing me the way.

Form a strong bond? There gonna be competing for carries not dating one another. I hope they compete everyday and push one another but saying they need to bond is gay.
Gay? So i guess you have no friends of the same sex, assuming you have any friends at all, that you have or would compete against. A game of hoops with friends, darts, ping pong, golf, or in your case a flute blowing contest. You must be one of those guys who never saw the field so you never had to or were willing to compete. You can compete against someone and form a bond. I would rater them push each other and remain friends and loyal team mates than have jealousy set in and divide them. Later dip s41t!

I think both are correct. He is someone we will not have to stop and being the highest rank running back on the Chickens board is significant. On the other hand, he is a Nationally ranked running back who is healthy, and is another back we recruited who will require a lot of attention from all our opponent's defense this fall. He will help our offense when help is most needed. He and our other new running backs will help our defense by keeping the ball and eating up time on the clock. This means that we will be a more rested team and help our ability to close a game without giving up a zillions yards and points in the 4th quarter.

Imo...Scott is Similar to Raijon with a little more between the tackles ability early on. Also, Neal never had a Hurd as a change of pace. Add them both in the backfield at the same time and its a pick your poison. Scott has excellent hands and can get to the edge while Hurd has the ability to go up the gut. If I'm a DC I'm worried.

1 more thing. Hurd and Scott were bell cows for their respective state champion teams. Winners translate. Look at both of their winning percentages while in HS. Tells me when its the 4 th quarter and we're on the 5 down by 4 we will punch it in.
