Why? What indicators are there that Ansley is a good coach or that he could be a HC?

well he’s good enough to get hired by gruden and saban so as far as being a good coach that tells me something. As far as being a HC it might be premature but I’d bet he’s one sooner rather than later

Micromanaging by a head coach makes it tough to evaluate any assistants from the outside.

Sounds about right for the state of the program.

Let’s be honest. Coaches have come from defensive and offensive coordinator coaches and been successful. Coaches have come from D1 head coaching gigs, D2 coaching gigs and nfl jobs and been successful. The same can be said for a lot of bad coaches. There is no known formally to success. We just have to our best and get the best we can.

At the end of the day we have some really good coaches but for whatever reason it isn't working. We can speculate all we want as fans but we do not know the reason. The job to put all the correct pieces together falls on the head coach and up to this point he hasn't.

That he is not good at his current job. WRs did not get any separation, did not block well. 4th year senior kept dropping easy ones while touted freshman like Melachi & Jet Holiday were MIA. Yes, give him promotion and make him HC .. true volnation way !!

The whole staff needs to go including Ainsley and Chaney . Only coach I would give a 2nd look at is Osovet. He might have potential somewhere on offense with a new HC.

The only coordinators that you can promote to HC are OCs. The game is offensively dominated. It’s just the way it is now. Did you ever think you would see Bama give up 35 points a game but also score 50? Even Saban got with the times. Par for the course, our coaches missed the bus.
