Derrick Ansley, Head Coach

Our DB's have been out of position all year. It was suppose to be a strength from a talent and experience standpoint, so that leaves it on the coaches.

Dude can coach and is a great recruiter. He has a lot of friends in the business who would love to come work for him. And considering the age we live in, and how the SEC has zero AA head coaches, it seems like a smart move. Thoughts?
The woke af hipster has spoken his useless $#!T

Do you really expect UT to be that smart? I know I’ve completely lost all confidence

This post has only been surpassed in stupidity by the Tee to HC one...take a lap op, horrible idea, let’s make the guy who can’t stop granny on defense the HC job...good heavens.

Let's promote a guy whose defense is the worst Tennessee defensive we've ever had cuz hes black and the SEC, now that Mason is gone, has no black coaches ??? Get this Sh*t outta here!!
We want a coach that knows what the hell he is doing - how bout THAT? give a damn what color he is! Man this bout the dumbest post I've ever seen on volnation

Croom was fired because he couldn't get the resources nor the wins at MSU.

Mason was kept far too long- same thing

Sumlin- got worse and worse but had tons of support.

James Franklin was good.

I would like to see a more balanced ratio in the SEC, but
1) When given the shot, be successful.
2) The only thing that matters is if the coach is worthy and suited for the position.

Tee Martin in this scenario should get a shot at UT before Ansley, because of his ties to UT. At the same time...is worthy of the position? Is he Head Coach material? I don't think so. Ansley maybe...but not yet, and certainly not here now.

Will Healy (White guy) is a good young coach who has cut his teeth already at two lower division schools as Head Coach and he still is not worthy of a chance...yet.

Calm down man.
It's a legitimate question given the socioeconomic climate in our country's past and present in regards to opportunity.

Racist statement.

Affirmative action is by nature...racist.
Because of the racist society we already live in...Don't know if you've been paying attention to the news lately.
It's merely a small counter measurement to a largely presiding white dominated venue.

With that said...
Bama did the right thing waiting for Saban vs hiring Sylvester Croom hahaha.
That was a conversation back then.

The only coordinators that you can promote to HC are OCs. The game is offensively dominated. It’s just the way it is now. Did you ever think you would see Bama give up 35 points a game but also score 50? Even Saban got with the times. Par for the course, our coaches missed the bus.

THIS
Everybody got the message but a few.
1. The targeting rule hurts D no problem for O
2. Refs let O receiver's push off hand fight but if D doing same is not looking back for ball. PI
3. O uses basketball screens for receivers but is not called unless your coach notices and starts screaming at refs. We notice in post game film. A&M did it on us all game, not that it mattered.
4. QB's are protected ad nauseam if you barely touch their helmet. PI. While a RB can stiff arm to a helmet/facemask and bend D face almost backwards legal play.
Yep even D minded Saban hired OC's with wide open O's like Kiffin & Sarkisian and Saban doesn't micromanage the O.
We are stuck in the 60's hoping to win games 10 to 7.
You seen scores like that all the time back in the day. Now that's after 1st 2 drives...

Other than keeping CJP, the second worst decision would be considering Ansley for any position on next years staff. He is not a very good coach. His recruiting ability is overrated as are his interpersonal skills. He is best suited for the NFL. His personality doesn't related well to the college game. And he is way overpaid for what he has done in his career to date

Sorry but you're all wrong here. Ansley is kinda over rated in all facets

I know this guy would never consider our opening but what do you think about Eric Bieniemy? Offensive background, being groomed as a HC, developed Mahomes
