Destroy Florida and this loss will be forgotten.

Nope. Now we have no room for error and, the way our play calling is on offense, we will need every win we can muster.

If they lose to Florida next week, Heupel will be 1 and 3 against them. That is totally unacceptable against bad to mediocre Florida teams. Instead of Florida, the Vols might be the ones looking for a new coach next season.

Lose to Florida and minus UTEP, I don't see another win on the remaining schedule.

Beating Florida isn’t what it used to be, so no.

We have to beat Georgia or Alabama; we don’t do that then we’re not going to the playoffs.

The Florida game is a should win/must win game. We have seen this type of thing before with other head coaches and they laid an egg. Gotta step up big against the Gators.

With our bad O-line, Nico's panic under pressure and Hyp's conservative play calling, every SEC game is going to be a battle all the way. Get used to it and hope the D can hold out.

Hooker covered up a lot of our problems.

I'm still on board with Heuple, but he is not the saviour many thought he was
Nico is overhyped, hopefully next yr will be better
Martinez still needs to go
Elarbee can't develop linemen
Playcalling continues to be atrocious (JH or Hazle?)
LB are not good at pass coverage

We continue to have the Fulmer 8-4 seasons (may sneak in a 9-3 occasionally) won't change for a while.

Don't look for a convincing W against gators.

Sun will rise in the morning (unless you live on the west coast of Fla)
For the last 2 years the most common thread on here centered around asking if JH will ever get us the NC we seek . ( Usually this comes after a loss as expected ). And I too believe in JH ( better than the previous coaching picks since Fulmer ) and our cap seasons are 8-4/ 9-3. Fans thinking NC really need to lower their expectations

Honestly, the OP is accurate. If our offense and Nico all of a sudden finds their groove next week, then Arkansas will be forgotten.

Ole Miss offense was horrid against Kentucky but looked great Saturday.

This stings because it follows the same pattern of our losses in the last few years where our offense seems to have no imagination , and coaches can't make game time changes to affect the outcome. What ever is not working in the first quarter ( running up the middle ) will still not be working in the 4th quarter but we still keep trying it. Teams that lose badly in previous games ( ARK etc ) will look like play off teams when they play us.
Exactly. The past 3 seasons this team either wins or looks horrible losing. We do not lose close, hard fought games. The final score of this game does not reflect how poorly we really played.

Our offense didn’t look great against OU either, but we tried to convince ourselves that it was just the coach dialing it back because our defense was so dominant or the field conditions were horrible or trying not to reveal too much of the playbook to future opponents.

Even playing better opponents in the last two games there shouldn’t be this much drop off in the offense from the first 3 games. Went from setting records to not scoring a touchdown in 5 of the last 6 quarters played. Scored no points in 3 of the 4 quarters last night, couldn’t even get in field goal range.

Yeah. I understand not trying to get him hurt. You have to take what they’re giving you and the QB was unaccounted for a lot of times. That means take off and he didnt..
You can’t play quarterback effectively worried about running. If teams sense your going to be scared at running they will eat you alive. Nico has to react quicker and be more decisive. Got to run when it’s there and we have to take some shots downfield. They have to coach Nico up now, he has to come alive. Sideline pssses and up the gut runs exclusively will not cut it. We got to go vertical and Nico has to take what is there. GBO

A bad performance against Florida will have CJH's head on a chopping block.
Wow. If that happens our fans do not deserve Heupel. Sure sometimes things don't go as planned. Yall put him on the hot seat after the last 3 years, sanctions and the last decade and we will not find a suitable replacement

Nothing like stomping the Gators to make the world a better place.
They've been getting better each week and we've been getting worse each week. Add to that Florida always plays their best game of the season against us and this game will not even be close.

I will gladly take a loss to Arkansas in a tough road environment if it means we protect Neyland and beat Florida and Alabama. Arkansas doesn’t matter. UF and Bama do matter.

UF doesn't matter nearly as much as they used to. They are middle of the pack at best now.
