Destroy Florida and this loss will be forgotten.

I knew that we were truly snakebit when one of Muschamp’s teams beat us, ended up going 4-8 on the season and blocking each other in a loss to a FCS school.
Any time UT is in a position to ascend to "elite" status, I do a cup check. This program has an incredible talent for building up expectations then ripping the heart from their fan base. I've lived it since '65. You just learn to expect it. The light at the end of a tunnel really is a train for UT fans.

I took the 90s/early 2000s for granted. That’s for sure.

If the offense doesn’t bounce back and we see the same stupid plays, then Heup is gonna feel a chill in the air. I’m just dumbfounded by what we saw last night.
I keep going over in my mind and thinking about the offense and it makes no damn sense.

Look at our OL and WR rooms. You'll find clarity.

Nothing like stomping the Gators to make the world a better place.
I wish I could think this positive but I always think in a more realistic way. I’m not seeing a W vs Florida. FL will play their best game of the year this Saturday. Hope I’m wrong

UF is looking better. They just handled UCF. Most of us thought UCF would mail UF. Hate to break it to you but better prepare yourself for yet another loss to UF.

If you had asked me after the first two or three games, I would have predicted TN to absolutely destroy Florida, in the 56-10 type range. Florida looked that bad against Miami and aTm and both at home, while TN was looking great vs everyone. Florida has definitely looked better over the last 2-3 weeks and TN has fallen back, but there are still some serious flaws with UF, and the flaws revolve around coaching. I think the talent is actually pretty good, but Napier is not going to out-coach, out scheme anyone. I think TN wins comfortably, something like 34-17.

Destroy Florida and I’ll feel a lot better. But, we aren’t destroying Florida. Florida will be another ugly, low scoring game like today in which we don’t try to stretch the field vertically and rely on the defense. The home crowd may give us the edge to eek out a win.

Florida’s defense has been really horrendous. The UCF game has actually been the only game all year where the defense resembled anything remotely close to quality. I’d imagine Huepel will watch film on Florida and salivate. The offense is the more competent unit for Florida, Mertz is solid, DJ Lagway plays well too, solid RB’s and some solid WR’s. OL was really bad early, but much better lately. It’s the UF defense that has been pathetic (aside from the UCF game).

We just saved Pittman, will we save Napier?
I'll try to remember this when UF whips us at home. A bit of a consolation that will likely need mixing with some 115 proof bourbon to go down, but hey, I'll make the effort.

Florida isn’t gonna be the walkover everyone thought. Their QB is significantly better than Tennessee’s.

Mertz has been very good at UF on some very mediocre teams. He completes about 75% of his passes and has 25 TD’s vs 5 picks at UF. He’s typically the least of UF’s problems. Despite all that, DJ Lagway has looked so good in flashes that he’s actually earned a lot of playing time and seems to be but a small step behind actually replacing Mertz. Half the fan base wants that already.

I haven’t watched as many TN games as usual this season but when I do, I’m very impressed with the defense more so than the offense, which has surprised me. When you see Nico you can obviously see the potential and tools, but you also see that he’s raw and inexperienced. When you’ve witnessed TN’s offense with Hendon Hooker and Hyatt and the others in its full glory, anything else has a hard time impressing.

The worst of the 4 units on the field will be Florida’s defense. It’s about the 5th straight year of UF fans being absolutely sickened by crap defensive play. Ultimately, TN will make enough plays to score enough points that they’ll win this game rather comfortably. But I do expect Mertz/Lagway and the FL offense to have some moments.

If all else fails, TN fans can just simply sit back and take comfort in knowing UF’s coach will screw something up at some point.

Afraid there's gonna be some serious hand wringing in Neyland Saturday night. Maybe a loss at Ark was what we needed to put us in the right mindset for this one. Sure hope so.

Biggest advantage we have is Neyland at night. I’ve seen enough Florida/Tennessee games to know how this story goes. We will see.

Last time we did that (destroy Florida 45-3 in Knoxville-1990) Johnny Majors was on the sideline and it was awesome to see. Unfortunately, after what we saw last night I don’t think this team is up for it. Hope we win but don’t think we’re destroying anyone the rest of the way accept maybe UTEP.

We might still make the playoff for all anyone knows. After seeing Vandy make history, anything’s possible.

Heard that last week against Arkansas. Deal is this Tennessee team has some issues and maybe playing at home will help with it but they haven't been lighting up the scoreboard lately.. UF usually beats Tennessee every year then takes a big shat. That's been the trend for a while now.

Fla can beat Tenn but then will fold down the stretch. They’ll probably beat FSU thou. 5-7.
