Am I the only one that loved Jimmy Smits? I think that might be my favorite season.

I thought they might let Deb into the secret during the season finale. A friend mentioned that she knows about Dexter in the books. I've personally just started reading the first book, so I'm not sure if that's correct.

I think the best finale would have been to have Deb say, "Freeze" and then end it right there. Leave that for the season cliffhanger.

Although, there's a couple lines at the party that allude to Deb or Deb and Quinn knowing about Dexter. When she's says he must be happy it's over, and Quinn knowing damn well it was Liddy's blood and who he was chasing.

I guess that'll be next season.

just got caught up with this show after giving it a chance on netflix a couple months back. some of the best stuff on tv at the moment. season 5 has definitely been the weak link out of all the seasons so far, though. still....weak for dexter is still high quality entertainment.

Finally finished the 5th season tonight. Watched the first 2 early this month, watched 3 and 4 online, and 5 was on Showtime On-Demand. Great show, can't believe I waited so long to finally watch it.

My body is ready for Season 6.

I started watching two weeks ago and finished season 4 the other day. I agree with toolegit, it needed to be done, annoyed me to death. Dunno if I can wait until Aug. for season 5 to come out on dvd.

I just got tired of the whole family/suburbs portion of the show and how it played out the same every week. The 5th season as a whole was pretty weak so Lumen goes without saying. Not a fan of Deb either. Lila was hot but annoying. Overall, solo Dexter is where it's at.

Doakes was awesome loved him at the AA meeting, "Oh and you owe me a new Michelin motherf$&@?r!"

Masuka is pretty great as well, loved him in season 5, "I know what this is, two words, autoerotic mummification."

the 5th season was pretty terrible after the first few eps. lumen was painfully boring and the whole plotline involving her and dex just got drawn out episode after episode. the best part of that story arc was when deb almost caught them both there near the very end of the season. everything else was pretty mediocre by dexter standards....not to mention season 5 also having one of the weaker finales of the series.
