Dexter

Hopefully 6 returns to the former epicness of seasons 1-4. I found season 5 to be pretty weak overall. The whole Julia Stiles story arc got kind of boring in spots.

Interesting combo in season 6. Don't really see Hanks as a ruthless killer, but he's doing well for himself so far. Looking forward to it.

I just keep wishing they'd bring back Smits. He was awesome.

Personally, haven't thought the first two episodes were anything special.

Isn't this the final season? Sucks because this might be my favorite show on TV.

Dexter is still a good show, but it's dropped off a bit in quality lately as far as comparing it to some of the previous seasons. It's been a typical season so far IMO. Dexter has almost always had a few average type episodes before opening up the plot a little.

Haven't really heard anything about this being the last season......but then again, i haven't really done my research on it either.

I like the first two episodes. And the only reason there wouldn't be another season is because Michael C. Hall is holding out for more pay. Showtime is persuing another season, but he wants to do other things.

The first 2 episodes were ok but really it's been hard to top Season 4. And the whole chick at the reunion thing was pretty stupid.

Just finished watching. Not bad

I don't know that I'd describe it as mind blowing but Dexter might be ready to unleash. I always wondered how he could be so specific about everything(OCD) and why the show never really touched on the subject of losing his slides(trophies) the first time around. There was nothing he could do about it but they clearly meant something to him or he wouldn't have bothered collecting/hiding them in the first place.

I try not to take shows and movies too seriously but they've based this show around forensics and psychological issues. Why is he breaking down about the slides being out of order? ... Because of what the guy said? I suppose I can buy it. I just recall that I was upset the first time he lost his slides but the show never really gave a damn. He used to be this eerie guy that was dating a messed up chick and all that mattered was killing while trying to fit in. Suddenly, Rita goes from beaten down crack whore to bossing him around and he is at her beck and call.

There is no doubt he has changed throughout the show. I'm just wondering why he suddenly had a mental breakdown because his slides are out of order when he moved on from them being taken away the first time.

The very last scene with, what I assume, is the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I'm just incredibly excited for Sunday now. ****'s going down.

I certainly enjoyed the episode. And really like the direction they are taking the season.

If I could change anything about this season, it would be the casting of Colin Hanks. I feel the role is incredibly miscast. It's not that I think he's doing a bad job so much as I'm just not buying him as the character.

Everything else has been pretty good. Mos Def is doing a great job.

Really? I thought the same thing about Hanks when I saw he was being cast but as I've seen the season so far, I've thought he's done a great job.

I'm still having a hard time with Colin Hanks as well. And completely agree about Mos Def, he has been excellent.

I like this season so far.

I really like this show. But I've always wondered, how does he keep his lab secret from his parents. And where did he acquire the resources to build it? And how did he build it without his parents wondering what was happening? Did he freeze them for the 8-12 months it would take to build such a monstrous underground structure?

He was making a joke. Albeit, not a great one :p

Kind of disappointed with last night.

I agree; in fact so far the season has been pretty "meh" overall. I hate to say it but the story is bit cliched. Edward James Olmos might as well have an evil laugh and rub his hand together.
