Dexter

I thought the show has been going down hill for a while(even though it's my fav show) but I have no idea what is going to happen. As for the people who think it's obvious what will happen next, I'm guessing they're lulling you into a false sense. I've always had suspicions in the past but the show(like many) throws a curve ball. I highly doubt they're going to make it blatantly obvious in what could potentially be their last season. If it's that obvious to everyone watching, maybe it should be the last season. Guessing this season will have lots of twist and turns

I thought that until last night.

Last episode was when I actually realized it. Mainly because the waitress didn't acknowledge Olmos (what's the character's name?) and he had no place setting, and when the girl was tied up she didn't even look at him.

Yeah I noticed that too; then when I saw the website and they talked about him being real I thought no he must be real.

But now that you mention it, I wonder if maybe Hanks was an obsessed student of his and Olmos' character is dead (maybe even Hanks' character killed him). So you could be right.

That's my theory.

Another supporting detail of this theory is that Miami Metro can't find a trace of him anywhere. They said that he has gone "underground."

As has been stated, I think Olmos' character is dead and is a mentor to Travis (Colin Hanks) in the same sense that Harry is to Dexter.

Buddy and I have been debating this since the second episode.

My opinion has always been that would be a weak story. Can't think of anything so just make Dexter battle another Dexter? Just seems lazy.

I hope it's more than that but each passing episode is leaning towards Olmos not being real.

Plus they pretty much already did that in Season 4; Dexter battling another serial killer who tried to have a family like he was doing.

I liked Jaime Escalante a lot better back when all he was teaching was calculus to underprivileged L.A. youths.

Good episode. I do think it's annoying that there are so many serial killers in a single city and that Dexter inadvertently comes into contact with them prior to finding out they're killers. I guess I can overlook it for the sake of being a TV show. Kind of takes away from him portraying a realistic serial killer when everyone he meets in the city of Miami kill people too

Btw, I agree... did not expect Biney to show up. Dexter is going pure evil. Pretty sure this is supposed to be the last season... hope that's not the case but that's what I've heard. I heard it prior to the season and it seems to be shaping up that way
