"The Audacity of Hope"--Sermon by Reverend Jeremiah Wright
Obama is not real adept at this whole critical thinking/weighing the consequences of decisions type thing...
Even though I don't support Obama, I don't blame him for his Reverend's actions. The man obviously felt because he associated himself with Obama he could become more bold with his actions and get his few minutes of fame. He did and I don't feel it should hurt Obama, it should only hurt the Reverend. But then again I realize what this country is really about these days and I blame someone else for me evening writing this response.
Wrong. Obama chose to be a member of a church that was headed by a bigot.
So did Obama instruct him to give the sermon?? Obviously not, so why should it hurt him?? So are you saying that everyone in the congregation should be punished for their preacher's arrogance or just a Senator??
Does that mean that everyone that has ever attended a church headed by a pedophile should hear about it if they run for office?
Can you not see the importance of Obama's absolute horrible decision making? Wright gives the sermons and Obama chooses to condone them by remaining a member of the church. I am not saying anyone should be punished. But no one that is a member of that church deserves to be POTUS.
You really think that is a good analogy? First, attending a church and being a member are two entirely DIFFERENT scenarios. Second, anyone that knows that a minister is a pedophile and does not report them should not be POTUS. Not a hard call there.
I'm just saying that he might not have been there during the 10 second sound bites that have been all over the news. I'm sure he has heard him say controversial statements but to what extent were the statements Obama heard?

Obama calls him his spiritual advisor. Before laying that title on someone you would think a person knows where that person stands on beliefs.
I have heard a lot of controversial statements in my life from people I would consider "spiritual people" and that doesn't mean I am going to go apply it to my life the instant I leave. People discern for themselves what needs to happen in their life, and most know when things are being stretched. Obama even knows.
