The social media part picked up later. The lines were long before the media ran with it, and that’s why it started going viral. Out of touch people just didn’t hear about it until it showed up on the news. And while I’m sure some people have posted it, I don’t think there’s this rash of chicken sandwich pictures on Instagram. People like eating it far more than posting it, and it’s not all that hard to get one.

This is the dumbest post in this thread. You think black people have never tried Chick Fil A? It’s just objectively worse and it isn’t close, despite how much white Christians resist that fact.

Of course they have. Its a known fact though that Chick Fil A's arent in predominantly black neighborhoods. Popeyes and Bojangles are along with McDonalds. They are called food swamps. Its a term the left uses to complain about why black neighborhoods have crappy restaurants and grocery stores.

I didn't comment on what black people do or don't do. I commented that you must not get out much if you don't know what Bojangles is. Feel free to make that into a racial comment, and deal the race card on me.

We don't have a Popeye's in my town, and I have not tried their food. I do agree that CFA's standard chicken sandwich is bland. They have a spicy version that I prefer.

I think you missed some quotation marks there...I’ve been to Bojangles dozens of times. They’re one of the few that have always understood the value of all-day breakfast.

I knew I should have added more to my google search besides racist chicken sandwiches

And properly spiced..its discussed in the article as well...acute sensitivity to salt and hypertension. Good times.

That’s an article about how Popeyes is unhealthy and how the Popeyes craze has resulted in people saying racist things about black people, which is hilariously ironic given your recent posts. Maybe Google some more?

The "if you can" part is funny considering that you apparently think any article that tangentially mentions black people proves your point, when even a quick skim would reveal that you missed the point of each article by a mile.

I'm well aware of what food swamps are. My point (and keep reading if you can) has always been that attributing the popularity of the Popeyes sandwich to "well for blacks it's the only thing to eat and they just automatically love whatever you give them" is mind-numbingly stupid.

You're saying that black people love it because it's the only chicken sandwich around them, while simultaneously saying that McDonald's and Bojangles, which both have chicken sandwiches, are all over "the hood."

You're saying that being "the only" one of something (which, again, it's not) means people go crazy over it; OK, by your logic, where are the millions of black people saying the Big Mac is the best burger they've ever tasted?

Beyond that, one of your own articles pointed to black people accounting for 15% of chicken sandwich sales. Your point is just painfully dumb on so many levels that it's almost hard to pick one.

Next thing you'll say is you dont know about the Popeyes crime index used by realtors!

I will say though that with the media hoopla and after reading the article I just assumed no one offered a chicken sandwich in poor neighborhood food swamps. I dont eat fast food, let along fried chicken fast food so I have no first hand knowledge. I guess Popeyes must have really hit it out of the part with the extra salt to make it so delicious?

Whats the racist nonsense? Was it posting the videos of violence at Popeyes over the sandwich? Or was it not knowing other food swamp fast food chains offer chicken sandwiches? I can only go off of what I see people talk about when it comes to poor parts of town since I never live in them.

Yeah I did. I noticed the one black woman punching the old white lady as she’s walking towards the parking lot, then the big black guy body slams her onto the pavement while another black guy looks gleeful about it and about 10 other p#### a## dudes and women stand around and watch. Honest question, what would the difference in reaction and coverage be if it was a group of white people on video doing this to a lone elderly black woman? My money says much different.

I don't think you have to be poor to know that Bojangles serves chicken.

It wasn't quite an outright statement, but the implication that black people are so simple-minded as to say "Wow, a chicken sandwich nearby? Must be the best one ever!" is certainly not flattering to black people. As you admitted, pretty much everyone has tried Chick Fil A; it could be that (gasp!) people like Popeyes because it's better.
