Die on the Chick-Fil-A Hill?

I don't think you have to be poor to know that Bojangles serves chicken.

It wasn't quite an outright statement, but the implication that black people are so simple-minded as to say "Wow, a chicken sandwich nearby? Must be the best one ever!" is certainly not flattering to black people. As you admitted, pretty much everyone has tried Chick Fil A; it could be that (gasp!) people like Popeyes because it's better.
Just going off that article and what people said about it.

I know everyone has had good friend chicken...I had to drive 70 miles out into children of the corn land in Oklahoma to get the best fried chicken I ever had (Eichens Bar).

I will say this though..I drove by the Orlando PD department one time (near Paramore) and they literally had 8 fried chicken restaurants across the street from it...seemed a bit stereotypical with a tinge of accidental racism.

I might go by a Popeyes after work today...all this chicken talk...I might grab me a sandwich to try it out.

Agree that this definitely happens

I hope there isn't a 30 minute line; I've only gone at lunchtime (crazy line) and late at night (none). It's really good, I'm happy for anyone trying it for the first time

Its Saturday so their might be a line. Ive got about 5 more days of work in a row so I know I'm gonna get a chance. I imagine its a crunchier version of the chick fil a one with a smidge more salt (I think it has half a days worth of sodium in it).

Whataburger did a fried chicken breast on a biscuit with honey butter for breakfast...that was amazing.

My Dad used to take me to a place in Memphis called Sisters Chicken and Biscuits in the early 80's. He said it was good, I dont remember and doubt it even exists anymore.

Crunchier, more flavorful, probably more likely to end my life by 40, but whatever. The last one I got sadly wasn't quite as good, but it was also the only one I got in Times Square so that's probably why.

I've heard that Popeyes in...maybe the Caribbean? Have honey butter biscuits and serve that exact same thing, and heard rave reviews on that as well.

First thing that popped in my head was that old salsa commercial saying, "New York City??".

Yeah I did. I noticed the one black woman punching the old white lady as she’s walking towards the parking lot, then the big black guy body slams her onto the pavement while another black guy looks gleeful about it and about 10 other p#### a## dudes and women stand around and watch. Honest question, what would the difference in reaction and coverage be if it was a group of white people on video doing this to a lone elderly black woman? My money says much different.
It would be a hate crime.

I swore the last time I went to Popeyes would be the last time. I don’t know if they changed their recipe to make it bland but the chicken sucked. The fried chicken at the Kroger deli is much better than Popeyes. I’ll pass on the sandwich. I wonder if Popeyes is competing with Waffle House as the place to settle scores.

Yeah I’m the same. I’ve been to a Popeyes about 3 times and I find it to be below the other fast food chicken places.

Popeyes was packed when I drove by...had to satiate my fried chicken craving with subpar publix chicken.

Popeyes violence continues after woman is body-slammed outside Tennessee restaurant

A Popeye's spokesperson said in a statement that the company was "shocked" over the attack.
That must ta been the first time they've heard about the violence that goes on.....seems like a daily thing.
That is awful, awful. Hard to believe. If that fat guy body slammed my wife, I would go to his store, tell him who I am, stick a pistol in his face, and kill the m'fer dead right where he stood.

As a man that thinks Chick Fil A is mediocre at best, I can't believe that the Popeyes crap chicken sandwich is somehow the nervana of sandwiches. Sounds to me like a cult following where everyone thinks it's great, therefore it's great. People are just like sheep, follow the leader.

Great point, most people ignore their taste buds to go with what they were told. Sounds to me like the guy who has never tried one should maybe learn to spell nirvana and wait until he has an informed opinion to share

Dude you must really love Popeyes. You get really defensive and butt hurt when anyone says something negative about them.

Literally this entire thread is people being defensive about Chick-Fil-A, and saying people who like better food must be "sheep"

It’s not Popeyes.
he’s trying to excuse the violent behavior of the folks that do business there.

Lmao. Me saying "they have better food" may seem like a really obvious and straightforward statement, but it's actually a hidden commentary on restaurant violence. Great thinking.

Could be that people so desperate to disagree (without even trying the Popeyes sandwich) really want CFA to be better because of their politics...nahhhhhhh

I’ve had them both. Have you?

And this has nothing to do with politics. Folks have been acting like animals at Popeyes establishments

Yes, I've obviously had both.

Extreme demand brings out the worst in people. See: every Black Friday. But for people saying "I love getting CFA to own the libs. Also, I haven't ever actually tasted it, but the Popeyes sandwich is probably just hype and no way it's better," CFA's politics are certainly playing a role.
