Digital Broadcast TV Experience

the signal from the antenna is Uncompressed, making it much stronger signal & a better source than cable/satellite.

Somebody give me the lowdown on digital antennas. I'm intrigued. We watch very little cable TV save football season. Wife would want networks for a few shows I'm embarrassed to admit that she watches from time to time (OK. OK. Bachelor, Voice, etc)

The type of antenna you need kind if depends on where you live.

I started out with basic rabbit ears but they needed adjusting between FOX and CBS so every Sunday they would get out of whack. Plus they just weren't aesthetically pleasing.

Do now I have this....
RCA ANT1650F Flat Digital Amplified Indoor TV Antenna:Amazon:Electronics

I was hoping I could put it behind my mounted TV but that screws up the reception. Sitting next to the TV it pics up everything great with no adjusting.

Then get a Roku/Apple TV/Chromcast/Amazon Fire and you would be set.

The one caveat to cord cutting for sports fans is ESPN. You either need a buddy/relative to hook you up with some log-in info or resort to streaming sites like feed2all.com.

Yes. Don't you have to have one of the cable providers to be able to steam Watch ESPN? Can you pay a monthly fee for Watch ESPN if you don't have cable?

If you have internet through a cable provider you can get access to ESPN3 content but you will need a cable subscription login to access the ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU content.

I use my mom's. She made (really I did it) a Charter email address on her account that I use for ESPN and HBO.
