DirecTV and the SEC Network (merged)

Not denying that the hopper isn't a good unit, but in picture quality, DTV is better.

As far as high prices...I pay $53 a month thru directv. Is that more than Dish?

I choose to stay with Directv because of the price and pic quality. We have Comcast at work and that is crap. My Sister and BLaw had dish for long time and they were constantly complaining about Dish always being in some tug of war with channels and the channels going black while stuff was getting resolved.

If you're happy with Dish, more power to you. Would take Dish over comcast for sure. Just don't be a fanboy

Yes HD picture quality is my number one criteria when choosing a provider. DISH compresses their HD more than DTV which reduces the quality. Not really noticeable on smaller HD TVs but when your looking at 60" TV from about 12' it makes a difference!

On DTV, I get several Alternate BTN channels, on 610-1, 610-2, etc. I hope SECN has Alternates like that for whenever they air multiple games.

Will the alt channels be up by next week? Cause they have 2 games scheduled for the same time our game and the bama game.
