You're right about that the consistency of the chicken has changed a lot. I remember the first time I ate at a Wendy which was in 1974 and it was a hell of a lot better than it is now. They changed whatever chicken they use! I swear they've had to. I used to love their chicken sandwiches and last 2 times I ordered them, the texture was way off and just weird, like had an odd rubber band texture. The first time i thought maybe it was just a fluke. I tried again at a different wendys sometime later and it was weird too. Idk, that was a couple years ago and have been afraid to try them since.
I loved Shoneys as a kid. Been once during my adult life and wasnt impressed. Hate when something isn't like how you remember. Subway comes to mind as well. Their quality has just went down hill since the mid 90s.
Those remind me of the chicken sandwiches from rocky top market on Cumberland. Whenever I happened in there late night I’d buy a bunch and take them back to my dorm and freeze them. Then on a Wednesday night or whatever pull one out still wrapped in a napkin and microwave that bad boy. DeliciousI always liked the original Chicken Little at KFC..lol they were like 39 cents..perfect for my college student budget...also #freetheMcDLT

Ugh, their quality sucks anymore too. Captain D's is better. Atleast in my neck of the woods.Little off topic...and I shouldn't complain because I live on the coast and we have incredible seafood choices...that said sometimes I get a craving for some beer battered LJS's fish
