I remember Lum's didn't last but about a year here.....they moved out & a pizza place moved in.

People aren't into hot dogs as much as burgers,chicken and pizza it has always seemed

Ugh, their quality sucks anymore too. Captain D's is better. Atleast in my neck of the woods.

Yeah and Captain D's had great side choices for a fast food restaurant....we don't have those down here either

We has one here through the mid 80's until dairy queen bought the last location in Kingsport. I can still get A&W if I'm willing to drive. But the Chef is totally gone, as far as I know. I can still get Blue Circle in Bristol at Least.

The first sandwich shop sandwich I ever got was one from Blimpies that my Mom bought me after school in 1973

My.......how time flies doesn't it. One day you're 21 and the next thing you know your in the late 60s.

Sonic was my first job lol. I remember they used to have all kinds of toaster sandwiches and their own version of a petro they called chili pie. They also had this banana fudge sundae that was awesome. Their menu is boring now and I hardly ever go there.

Sonic chilli pie is so good.

Anyone try those little stuffed biscuits at weigels? I love them and miss them. I used to stop and get one on my way to work every morning when I lived in Knoxville.

I'm still pissed that they got rid of my Shoney's here in Jackson.

I may have told you this before, but I have family in Jackson. There's some bbq place there that my cousin's husband brags about a lot. It's in Jackson, or pretty close.

I just buy Fritos, can of chili, get some shredded cheese and whatever other toppings when I'm in the mood. First time I made one, my husband asked what the hell is that? Lol he refused to try it. Too bad, he's missing out.

My first real job was working @ Piggly Wiggly after classes in high school.....part-time work on week days but all day on Saturdays. I swore then @ 16 whenever I grew up I'd get a job NOT working on Saturdays.

We have one and it's 25 mins away so I only make the trip if I'm having a serious craving.
