That's bull$hit, but you're right, nothing was like it was back in the good ole days. Heck, I remember you could get a free cookie at the bakery counter in the grocery store.

I remember in the 1970s Sears had a counter where you could get bags or candy or roasted nuts

I never had one....I shy away from trying anything new to drink if it's not my staple......the coke.

Coke is mine too, but I seldom buy them anymore because it's close to $6 for a 12 pack.

At Walgreens, I get 3 can packs (12) for $9.99. That's $3.33 each. As long as their on special, of course.

It is. The Dr thunder is identical to Dr pepper too.

Hmm, I'll have to take a gander at my local Walgreens.

Kroger would do the same but only in the summer time it seemed. They may still have it on....but I buy at Walgreens for can cokes....I check their ads each Sunday morning in the Sunday paper ads.

Lots of stores used to have restaurants in them. You could shop, eat, then shop some more. And not like some places that have chain restaurants in them, but actual store run restaurants.

Yeah, an old drive in type joint. They used to be all over the place. Bristol is the only one left now, I think.
