Disney Goes Woke Again, Pushes Senate to Codify Gay Marriage into Federal Law

The Walt Disney Co. is pressuring the U.S. Senate to pass a bill that would codify gay marriage into federal law — an effort spearheaded by the Human Rights Campaign, the scandal-plagued, radical LGBTQ lobbying group.

The reason most Republicans now back gay marriage is ... Donald Trump?

You’d be wrong, maybe half-wrong. You can be a missionary-position-only, I don’t care. I will care if you use whatever scripture that belief is based on and criminalize behavior you don’t approve of.

Never said anything about that. You people cry about so called religious zealots but I haven't seen any of them encourage 6yr old boys to be girls. That's your party

The idea that people have to be progressive-style "woke" and not just proponents of liberty to support this says everything about the direction the right is heading

It’s definitely hyperbole on my part, I don’t think it’s entirely bs, though. MTG certainly caters to a particular demographic.
Who would that be? Freedom loving, old school, hard working Americans who don't want pedophilia normalized? If that's the case so be it! You should check out her appearances on timcast to see her as a person.

If she can think for herself and not invoke Trump, I might give her a listen. Otherwise, I’ll pass.

Disney Embraces Drag Queens: Marvel Studios ‘Ironheart’ Casts ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Star Shea Coulee

The Walt Disney Co. swore to devote itself to radical LGBTQ activism, and the company continues to make good on that ominous promise. Marvel Studios has reportedly cast RuPaul’s Drag Race star Shea Couleé in its upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart — the latest indicator that the studio is making drag culture a prominent component of its entertainment for children.

Shea Couleé — real name, Jaren Kyei Merrell — is a drag performer who appeared in the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, finishing in the top four. Deadline reported he will join a cast that already includes Dominique Thorne as the title character, as well as Anthony Ramos and Alden Ehrenreich.

Disney Won’t Say Gay in Middle East: Censors LGBTQ Content in Gulf Countries While Fighting Florida Law

The Walt Disney Co. won’t say gay in the Middle East.

After picking a political fight with Florida over the state’s Parental Rights in Education Law, and declaring itself an LGBTQ ally to boot, Disney is reportedly censoring gay and transgender content on the version of the Disney+ streaming service that it launched in the region in June.

Among the titles that won’t stream are the animated movie Lightyear, which features a lesbian kiss, and the Baymax series, which has a transgender “man” who menstruates.

Free market is what it is but modern international corporations don’t really live it that environment.

End corporate welfare and end government interference in the free market.

To that end I don’t support Disney and withhold as much money from them as is convenient for me. But to be a purist about it isn’t something I’m trying to do.

I hope this woke corporate virtue signaling ends soon. It’s annoying seeing these stuffed suite morons act like they care about anyone. We all know they don’t. They just want money from us and will say anything to get it. The fake patriotic flag waving isn’t as bad anymore but it was just as cringe back in the day. But doesn’t matter. Hopefully the market will adjust assuming we don’t bail out anymore of these crap companies that have to steal from the taxpayers to stay in business.

Big Government sucks.
Big Business sucks.
But I repeat myself.

Disney's moment of reckoning: As maverick heiress Abigail admits Harvey Weinstein's abuse against women was an 'open secret' and 16-year-old accuser sues, what will the hyper-woke company have to say?

  • Abigail Disney said this week that Harvey Weinstein's abuse of women was an 'open secret' at Disney
In the murk of the #MeToo movement, Disney, the largest entertainment producer in the world, seemed to come out relatively unscathed.

In the years since, the company has fallen over itself to be more inclusive of diversity and women, taking its woke crusade so far that viewers are hard-pressed to find a new film or franchise that doesn't have a face-smacking social justice message.

But its squeaky-clean image was soiled this week with the admission by maverick heiress Abigail Disney that not only did the company know about Harvey Weinstein's prolific sexual abuse, it did nothing about it and may have even helped him pay off women who came forward.

'It was an open secret. I mean, it wasn't even a secret. Everyone knew what Harvey was about, and that was just fine as long as everybody saw it as, "well, this is just how business is done." 'Nobody had the moral clarity to step up and say, 'well, not here. we don't do it that way here,' Abigail, Walt Disney's black sheep great-niece, said.

Disney’s international customers more than pick up the slack from the vocal minority of pearl clutching conservatives who weren’t coming to Orlando anyways.

You guys voted for a philanderer who, on tape, recommends grabbing unsuspecting women by their *. You don't give a **** about Weinstein as a matter of right and wrong, except that you can throw it in Disney's face.

Disney and Weinstein parted ways way back in 2005. This article is light on details, but it mentions abuse in 2002 that wasn't reported until 2019....

So what did Disney do wrong, based on what we know? It was an open secret? Is that why they parted ways?

Daniel Loeb’s Third Point suggests Spinning Off ESPN after taking stake in Disney

Hedge fund Third Point on Monday unveiled a new position in Walt Disney and made a string of suggestions — including spinning off cable sports channel ESPN, sharing buybacks and naming new board members — to improve the company’s fortunes.

Billionaire investor Daniel Loeb, who runs Third Point, made a U-turn on Disney by buying a stake in the second quarter not long after he liquidated the firm’s position in Disney during the first quarter.

Striking a conciliatory tone, Loeb wrote that some changes might already be in the works but noted that Disney should cut costs, pay down debt and buy back shares.

His biggest suggestions involve ESPN, which he thinks should be spun off to shareholders. He urged Disney to hire bankers and lawyers to “reassess the desirability of the transaction in the current environment” after Disney had already considered it.

One industry trade publication, Puck, reported last year that Disney had considered spinning off ESPN as the network lost cable subscribers. The same publication reported last month that this option was no longer under consideration, and that live sports is considered a “linchpin” of the company’s business.
