Kinda true but not the Mikey Mouse that everyone knows. It is just the one from the 1920’s short film which looks completely different from the one we all know. Also, it is just the copyright that is expiring, not the trademark, which do not expire

French Govt Protests After Disney Depicts French Soldiers Trying to Steal from Wakanda

The depiction of French soldiers as trying to steal ‘vibranium’ from the fictional African nation of Wakanda has prompted fury from the country’s armed forces minister.

Sébastien Lecornu, France’s Armed Forces Minister, has strongly condemned Disney’s latest Black Panther film, Wakanda Forever, for its “false and misleading” depiction of the country’s troops.

In the film released late last year, the soldiers reportedly attempt to raid an outpost in Mali which is controlled by Wakanda, a fictional and highly technologically developed African nation.

So Desantis’ big showdown with Disney ended up a bust. Disney retains all tax benefits of their special district in Orange County, along with their autonomy. The only thing DeSantis got was the ability to pick the board members that oversee the tax district (which means nothing). DISNEY HAS BEEN DEFEATED GUYS!!!!

I think the deal was likely struck behind the scenes, Disney gets to keep their autonomy and DeSantis gets to take a victory lap. Randy Fine hastily floated this bill out there and DeSantis signed it without seeming to have any real understanding of the situation. And people still refer to it as a tax "break" or "benefit" when in actuality Disney agreed to double taxation in order to run its own district.

Iger is way too smart to get bogged down in politics, and I'd just about guarantee he's been ironing this out with the state behind the scenes for weeks.

Don't believe it for one second.

Disney has enough money to pretty much tell anyone who pressures them to kiss their backsides and still have enough money to swim in in the "aftermath."

That may be what he said, but the CEO has the ability to tell their employees to get in line or look elsewhere for employment.

So the left is bad for applying pressure (in a vague and general way), but DeSantis, who pressures Disney's business by changing the law and messing with their tax status and operations, is one of the good guys.

I welcome tackling this issue but can we do it in the same breath as the Catholic and Baptist churches? Throw Boy Scouts of America in there while we are at it?

Pedophilia is problem across all spectrums of political ideology. It’s not a left/right issue and pretty gross when it is politicized as such.
