Division among Bama coaches over Kiffin

Saban basically said it was time to clean house. There seemed to be some division with some of the younger guys on the team not playing and some coaching not getting it done. Kiffin appears to have been in town in Dec not to consult but to talk with Saban about the job. Seems it was then when he was interviewed. A few coaches not getting it done were told to look elsewhere and did. We may replace a few more before it is done.

Saban processes coaches as well as players.

His processor must have broken. He is replacing coaches he hired. Kiffin is a great salesmen and just a good coach. Saban will be replacing him soon just like the others.

Just stop. Seriously.

Worse defense in the sec and almost the country. We blew pretty bad but yalls D was even more hilarious. How do you get bailed out next yr without manziel and evens?

We're gonna forfeit all the conference games and get female cheerleaders so we'll be SEC ready for 2015. Once Johnny's statue is finished we're moving the Big East. Oh and Franchonie is gonna coach special teams and co-coordinate the Gatorade distribution. It's a real mess here.

Head scratcher of a move at best. First, Kiffin is great at bringing in highly rated talent. Last time I checked bama didn't need help in that department. Second, people say he's an offensive genius, but I'm not so sure. Give me petrino or malzhan over him any day. Given the fact any job he's had that gave him real control of anything ended under poor circumstances at best I'm not too concerned here. It's not like bama is going to get any tougher for the Vols. I for one think this will end badly for bama, kiffin, or both.

I 1000000000% agree. Hated that for y'all. Hell, hated that for me. Vols deserved better that night.

It was cowardly and not something a person with honor would do

Hopefully his cancer spreads wildly amongst the Bama staff and the program

Petrino and malzhan are head coaches............ All he's doing is coaching offense. People here are acting like he was hired to be their head coach. It's a great hire by them, it sucks, but it's not like they weren't going to be hard to beat anyway.

Kiffin has had flashes of greatness at OC, but a solid list of failures too.

I'm really surprised Saban would bring in such a proven troublemaker. Kiffin's resume is littered with poor judgment. He has left every program unceremoniously, hopefully he craters bama's offense, team unity and is subordinate to Saban. And its not a stretch.

Are you mad that he left? Serious question.

Not at all. We were headed for the death penalty with Kiffin and Orgeron. He was a horrible hire to begin with and if we had a competent AD it would have never happened. Some guy that lives in College Station would have been our coach and the next year you probably would have ended up with some guy named Dooley.

Anyone who thinks that Kiffin is a great OC should go back and look at the UCLA, Ole Miss, and VaTech games from 2009.

He did have a very good OL coach that patched together the line but other than that we were no better than the competition. He had several players on that team that played for a year or longer in the NFL.

The big win that season was UGA and we mostly destroyed them with Eric Berry and our defense.

I somewhat agree with that.

I think about 40% was the work Kiffin and staff put in with him, but the majority was simply sticking with the kid and letting him settle in rather than the sh*tstorm of shuffling QBs like UT had in 2008.

Wow, an insight deep enough that I had to question whether or not I was on this forum. Well done.

I remember Crompton having a field day with the play action roll out..

I know y'all hate this dude but he's going to rebuild himself, be great at his job, and earn the admiration of another program in a short while to become a head coach again. Alabama will have Lane for a max of 4 years before someone comes calling.

I actually think it will be worse. I think Smart lands at UGA soon and Kiffin becomes HC in waiting at Bama. That POS made a deal with the devil to always land on his feet it seems.
