And the conversation would NOT be about us. It would be about the Miami/SMU loser or Indiana getting booted

All in the world we need is Georgia to lose the SECCG. That's it nothing else matters. TAMU beating Texas just unnecessarily complicates things we don't want another SEC team to have a crack at getting an auto bid when right now they wouldn't be in the playoffs at all. Texas should win and then beat Georgia and we will get a home game in Knoxville.

You have more faith than I do. Remember the committee chairman is a Michigan man. While he might love Ohio state getting the screws. He has shown to protect BIG10 teams this far and the narrative will likely be that they played a tough rivalry game against a peaking Michigan team. Instead of Ohio State lost to an average to slightly above average Michigan team that got whipped by an SEC school in their own stadium.

The final CFP a week away. So Conference Championships plays into this as well this weekend results. We should be hosting and I am betting 3 teams from SEC. Tennessee sits next week which is an advantage. Three weeks to heal up and to watch. Right now 5 - 7 slot is the prediction. Should have a home game at Neyland. USCe and Alabama still hanging around as of this moment.

If TX AM wins:
GA - loss to Bama, Ole Miss
TX AM - loss to SC , Auburn
TN - loss to GA, Arkansas
TX - loss to GA, TX Am
Ole MISS - loss to KY , FL
Bama - loss to Vandy, OK

Our tie breaker with TX would be with ARK and GA
TX - 1-1
TN - 0-2

Possible that Indiana could play for conference championship or Penn State. Too much football to play to even guess. Best bet is that we will host based on today. Who we host would be anybody's guess with those left in the field or the those currently outside looking in.

We will just have to see how it all shakes out. So much can change between now and the end of the conference championships. The committee likes Georgia, Texas and Ohio St, so I don't see them getting bad placements. These aren't computers. These are the people that left FSU out last year and they were undefeated and the ACC champion. I'm just glad we're in at this point, but don't think for a second we will get any favoritism.
