I watched a little of the game and it seems like every time LSU got a first down and was driving the ball, (That magical flag) always came up

LSU got screwed in the first series when the officials spotted the ball short of the first down---when it was clear that Jefferson had the ball past the yellow line and was knocked backwards. FIRST SERIES!~! I knew then that LSU didn't have a shot. Bammer ALWAYS gets the calls---especially from that crew. :banghead2::banghead2:

I think it is Slive's plan to get Florida and Bama to the championship undefeated. He is betting that Texas goes down with a loss somewhere. He would then lead the charge for both Bama and Florida to play again in the NC game.

With ESPN paying big money for the TV contract, I think they come into play for a Bama/Florida rematch. Especially if the SECCG is a big ratings win (which it will be).

These are all good posts. I hate to use the word conspiracy because it immediately draws rolling eyes, but, most of these calls are made in favor of a home team, undefeated to boot. Its kinda like a boxing champ....they say you have to knock the guy out because you can't seem to win a decision against a reigning champion. On the other hand, the KO may have ensued if the proper calls had been made. Great posts.

What are the LSU boards saying about that blown call? They must be in full meltdown.

No conspiracy. It's a home team, gutless zebra, no enforcement mechanism problem.

So what blows me away is this. At first i thought i was looking through orange glasses thinking that lsu intercepted the ball . Well i just saw on ESPN where the guy showed a clear replay and the espn guy said it was a clear pick

The thing about this situation that smells of foul play, is that it wasn't just a blown call on the field in real time....it was also incorrectly reviewed up in the booth. They get to see it from multiple angles and in slow motion. There is NO EXCUSE for missing a call like this...

It was clear it was a pick. In every tight ballgame Bama or Florida have played this year they've gotten favorable calls. I don't know if that warrants conspiracy status, but it does smell funny.

@Tidal Surge - that's weak, throwing a tinfoil hat up trying to dismiss the issues with officiating by marginalizing it with a silly photo.

I'm not trying to dismiss legitimate concerns about bad calls such as those in the UGA/LSU, UF/Ark & UF/MSU games.

It's the ridiculous conspiracy theory that's so laughable.

BTW, 65% of the VN posters who voted in the poll believe Kiffin's SEC officiating conspiracy theory!

WOW! :post-4-1090547912:

Sweet. In about 14 more years and 250k more postings of the same picture, you'll have it up to only 70%.

So you dont think that lsu intercepted that ball. Cmon man i see with orange shaded glasses but im man enough to admit when we get a blown call. The thing is though bama and florida have been getting them all year. this isn't a volnation thing. PTI/Around the Horn/Sportscenter are all talking about this. WAKE UP

Has there always been a pro Bama/FL conspiracy or is this just something happening this year? With Saban and Meyer in place next year and probably years down the road will it remain?

No need for pictures, a simple answer will suffice.

Ask a question that warrants response.

If you can't see why the coincidence of horrendous officiating days helping AL and UF would generate a legitimate doubt, then you have no sense.

I don't buy it, but I damn sure understand it and stranger things have happened.

Let's just call it favoritism and leave it at that. The funny part is you'll see the officiating magically get a lot better next year, go figure.

OK, If it's an ALA/FLA conspiracy this year what happens next year and the year after? If it's an on going thing then some fans of other schools are delusional. How can you cry conspiracy in one thread and SEC champs in 2 years on the next. I believe there may be something underhanded going on and ALA/FLA are the benificiaries this year. Will they be next year? Who knows. I think it's an SEC at all cost conspiracy. May the best team win...as long it's from the conference!
