Do you know what I find peculiar?

I have read numerous threads in which Pearl's personal life is mentioned in a negative manner.

Back on topic, since my thread was un-deleted, there seems to be no reason for this one. Equality is attained!

Too bad equality was never the issue, making your victory somewhat obsolete.

I'm betting one of two things happen in the next hour. First, Hatvol comes on here and spews his ignorance. Secondly, this thread is deleted/moved because the moderators are Pearl Haters as well.
Man, you just jump right in with the attitude don't ya.

This thread is offering nothing to the board.... delete it!

I think the OP was a little off as far as the Mods being Pearl haters and deleting threads and such.

But he did make a few good points when talking about a coaches personal life...I agree there, to sit and judge from afar is pathetic.

What I don't understand is this; if the people on this board that admittedly question Pearl don't like these threads then why are y'all the ones that keep stirring them up and perpetuating them? You say that the Slupers can leave if we don't like the criticism of Pearl, but wouldn't that also apply to the criticism of your criticism? I've been over it since the loss because I've seen the Fellowship of the Zing come out with the same tired personal attacks, dredging up of Pearl's alleged infidelity, and questioning of his worth as a coach. Get over it, already....

agree about the "love it or leave it" posters. Seems like they could come up with something more substantive.

I like Pearl, but what do you know?

Whoops, that must have been my ignorance talking. What can you expect from a self depreciating schtik? I guess I need to stop clowning around, not making too many friends around here :ermm:

Did you really bastardize that into self depreciating? It wouldn't ve so sad had you not commented on others' intelligence and cracked all hayseed to make a point. Brilliant.

I think the problem is that people show up here expecting the same level of mindless sheepdom one would find on Volquest or Hoopsville.

I did not go to either site. I expected to be surrounded by fellow vol fans on a vol message board. I also did not expect condescending blowhards who miss so consistently in their predictions to keep talking smack to everyone else. If I told you I was a genius stock guy and my portfolio got crushed for a year while some other people mad picks I mocked that went well, I would be a lot more humble in the way I spoke after...

Glad to see izzo lose. He should have been given a technical with 5 left. That loss couldn't have happened to a nicer guy

The most humorous thing about all this is Pearl will be here as long as He wants to be. Does not mater who hates Him.

I'm confused, lol.

I feel that Pearl has turned UT basketball into something, in a predominately football country I believe he got people to care about the basketball team on a level that I've never seen.

I can remember going to some basketball as a kid, only thing I remember was it was Jerry Green, we were ranked, and playing Wisconsin (who was also highly ranked) and we beat them...that game was the single most boring game ever, and the stands were pretty empty.

So if we wanna keep growing our basketball culture we need a loud mouth eccentric individual to get our name in the highlights.
