Do you know what I find peculiar?

I'm confused, lol.

I feel that Pearl has turned UT basketball into something, in a predominately football country I believe he got people to care about the basketball team on a level that I've never seen.

I can remember going to some basketball as a kid, only thing I remember was it was Jerry Green, we were ranked, and playing Wisconsin (who was also highly ranked) and we beat them...that game was the single most boring game ever, and the stands were pretty empty.

So if we wanna keep growing our basketball culture we need a loud mouth eccentric individual to get our name in the highlights.

But you're missing the point. Just accepting an Elite Eight and multiple Sweet sixteens is tantamount to settling for mediocrity.

And if you're satisfied with getting to the Elite Eight once and Sweet Sixteen three times, then you have to agree that he had sex with someone besides his wife. So if you are not satisfied with his coaching job, then you're cool.

But, if you are satisfied, then you can hold the infidelity thing against him. If you feel that is none of your business, and don't even know or care if it is true, because who are you to judge (?), then there's always him recording the phone conversation with Deon Thomas where he admitted that the coaches at Illinois offered a Blazer, cash and a chance to pet the Lou-Do.

If you can't muster more anger than admiration for Pearl after you realize he's made two, possibly three mistakes in his life, then you are a Pearl Surpin', nincompoop, with the intelligence of a Box Turtle with Down Syndrome.

Don't you see, now?

The most humorous thing about all this is Pearl will be here as long as He wants to be. Does not mater who hates Him.
That's the exact thing rocket scientists like OrangeSquare used to post about Fulmer. How'd that turn out?

Could not have summarized this argument better myself. Pretty sad that this board is still divided even after the best season in UT basketball history.

Long pile of crap, topped off with "two, possibly three."

So hatvol, will he leave us for more money or will he be fired like Fulmer? You seem to be covering all bases :p

Did you really bastardize that into self depreciating? It wouldn't ve so sad had you not commented on others' intelligence and cracked all hayseed to make a point. Brilliant.

You call me stupid, yet you can't spell. I've noticed this many times, just choosing now to call you out. Sorry the thing I commented on was 5 hours ago, I make mistakes. Never claimed I was perfect, just damn close

Nice. You said self depreciating because you don't know the difference and call out a typo from my cell phone which annoyingly self corrects. Strong.

You should wait longer as my spelling is fine and I haven't called you stupid, even though it would have been entirely appropriate.

I said self depreciating because the original post was first page, and I found it much too time consuming to go back and check. I thought I had the right word, I apologize that my intelligence level doesn't make the incredibly high standards set by persons like Hatvol and yourself. I need to quit acting smart, it's obvious I'm not.

Weak ass excuse. What the hell is self depreciating?

Let's play this semantics game. I like my chances.

It's going to be a long and painful off-season around here, it seems.

Self Deprecating means to be conscious of ones own mistakes. If that is what you meant, then you used the wrong word. I am not conscious of my mistakes, because I have yet to make one. Hatvol does run his mouth and is occasionally wayyyyyyyyy off base. Then most mods side with him. Hat hates Pearl in my opinion so based on my earlier statements, that means mods hate Pearl too.

Self-Depreciating means to find oneself of little worth. I do, and you guys aren't helping at all making fun of me :cray:
