It took all of about a day for our a bunch of fans to go from 'Dooley who?' to 'I like him and I think he's the right guy.' I assume UT fans all around will eventually be convinced Martin will have us in the final four within 5 years.

I'm really jazzed about it. I thought men's basketball was getting a bit too big for its breeches and I kind of missed those thrilling NIT match ups.

No, but that is because my expectations were probably too unrealistic. I know nothing about the man other than what I have read in the last few hours. I have no idea if he will be a success, or an utter failure, either way he has my support. And by the way, just because someone votes no, does not mean they aren't a fan, or have only followed UT bball for the last 6 years. Plenty of people on this board were down on Pearl since day one, and although I disagreed with them (before the infractions of course) it did not make them any less of a fan than me. The reality of this hire is we just don't know how it will turn out, and to say otherwise is a bit naive. I feel pretty certain that a vast majority of us on this board are letting our emotions be dictated by a few heartwarming stories, coaching pedigree, and a few recent years of success. At the end of the day, all great coaches had to start somewhere similar. Here's to hoping ours turns out that way. Welcome CCM.

I voted yes but I don't really know if it's because I love the hire or I just realize it's done and we have to live with it and back the guy.

Not a slam dunk. But an educated guess based on the new guy's work with Missouri State.

I like the hire.

Let's see if Hammy can conduct a presser without totally screwing it up.
