Dobbs has gotten FREAKIN HUGE

This!!!

jeez, that last paragraph. I was disappointed with dobbs' play vs vandy as well. But you could argue that both ints were due to pooly run routes by his wrs... I know the 2nd one was on croom, hands down.

The coaches completely abandoned the passing game altogether once north went out. It occurred to me that it was as much because nobody could get open vs vandy's 2nd string dbs as it was dobbs' inability to throw even the simplest route. Even without the pathetic passing game we saw, dobbs still made a play that wins the game if pig doesn't have a penchant for making a game losing play with the unnecessary block in the back.

I saw a lot of potential in a dobbs last year and there's just no way i'm gonna criticize an 18 year old freshman to the extent that many have, playing qb in the sec under very difficult circumstances, with virtually no decent wr to throw the ball to vs some of the very best teams in the country ( bama, mizzou, auburn).

Lulz I think Worley should start because he has the most experience and has shown he can win a big game. Dobbs on the other hand has not done a single thing but throw to the other team.

And whoever said Dobbs will succeed because he has too much talent not to might want to check his offer list.

You said that the Dobbs crew that think he should start, no questions asked, get on your nerves while stating that Worley should start, no questions asked. So, lulz.

I think that the coaches should allow them to perform through off-season workouts and evaluate all four of them, while asking a lot of questions. Your idea that they should start Worley because of one game, while ignoring off-season performance is as ridiculous as those calling for any other QB to start two days before spring practice begins.

By adding to your argument that Worley should start game one, no questions asked, due to one game that he still kind of sucked in, and then pull him if he sucks... Well it indicates you would have the coaches ask questions after a potential loss instead of asking the questions over the next several months, when they should be asking them. So, you added a few more good lulz on top of the easy, 'you're a hypocrite' lulz. And I thank you for that.

Having Arizona State,Stanford,TCU and Tennessee isn't a bad offer list. Harvard also was interested I believe

Add Miss St, Arkansas and UCF which is about to possibly put the #1 overall pick in the league in Blake Bortles.

Worley hasn't shown much either, other than he needs WRs to bail him out to win games.

Im going to repeat what many others have said. All of our QBs need to show up during spring practice with their A game. Who ever the coaches decide on starting whether its Worley, Dobbs, Fergie, or Peterman I will back their decision 100%.

I said Worley should start because he earned it and has the most experience. You act if its just arbitrary. There really isn't much of an argument to make for Dobbs to start. He was horrid.

And Dobbs' offer list isn't bad, but were are trying to be elite here. Fergys offer list is much more impressive and I am very curious to see him play.

This debate will get even better after the Orange and White Game!!

Sad thing is it won't change anyone's mind. Sadder thing is that even if we have a fantastic season and outstanding QB play by whoever emerges it still won't end. The speculation has just gone on too long and people are entrenched. The internet and forum debates have also gone on long enough to where ego and being right about speculating who is 'best' is on the line and matters far more to some than anything else.

I am not going to bash him but 50 yards was not good in a must win game. The two picks were devastating as well. The performance was horrid. I wish we didn't have to put him in that spot. I think his arm strength is fine and I like his mobility. He just wasn't ready.

Completely false actually. Dobbs is bad, that is my current stance. I have heard of his camps, and I have heard he's been working on throwing the ball. If he comes out in the OW game and is gunslinging all over the place, making great decisions and hitting his receivers in the the numbers, then taking off and rushing for 5-15 yards on unsuspecting defenses, I will jump for joy and count down the days until I can see him take the field and do that to our opponents.

Wtf does everyone have to pick and choose one of the QBs to support? Aren't we all hoping for what's best for the team? Instead it seems like yet another case of everyone being driven by the need to be right. Bunch of childish BS.

This is where I'm at. I hope one of the young guys can beat out Worley because I've never seen a worse upperclassman qb.

That was the fault of bad coaching more than obvious lack of ability. Worley can't even hit a five yard pass accurately.

I gotta agree with the bad coaching in 08. Actually bad would be a understatement.

Dont agree with your assessment of Worley.

I've seen the guy miss a ton of five yard passes. Every deep ball he throws almost gets picked. North and Pig bailed out this sorry ass QB. He didn't throw in the winter like the other three. I don't see how he will keep his job.

We'll see.

Matt Simms was actually a good passer, but he kept the ball too long. Isn't he in the NFL still?

Not sure if still in the NFL but think he is. In truth, I have no problems with Matt because when you talk about giving your all, he did. Got knocked down repeatedly behind a freshman OL and just kept getting back up. Got it rough from fans. I'd say he was one of the most under-appreciated players we ever had.

I recall Gooch saying after Matt was really knocked down big time. A DL player made some snide remark. Matt told him, "I'm still here." Gooch said he had never heard a QB talk smack back at a DL like that before. In my heart, I believe Matt deserved better than what he got while at the UT.

He's right behind Geno Smith in NY. I agree with you with Matt. He had a **** ton of Moxie. I wish Butch had him instead of Worley.

Have you ever heard the story about Byron Leftwich?

Imagine Worley with a freshmen OL.

I bet Simms would have been a pretty good QB if he had better protection.
