Does anyone know if Hyatt is practicing with the team?

I would put myself in his shoes. If I have a potential to be a 1st round pick, and make enough money to be set for life, versus risking it all to play a bowl game, I would take the money. I don't think any reasonable person would fault him for that.

Sure, it sucks from a fan's perspective to not be full strength, but you have to look at it as a young man's future.
I keep seeing that NFL money is “life changing”. What you don’t understand is the dude is already making life changing money in NIL deals. I think he should go, but I’d be the happiest man in the world if he chooses to come back. My cat is named Hyatt. That’s been the guy I’ve wanted to watch succeed the most since his freshman year. So whatever he chooses I’ll be happy for him. But damn it would be nice to get another year of number 11

Oh I agree with you, I would love to have him back. I just wouldn't be mad if he decided to go.

It's 99.9% about money.....which use to mean it was about the NFL.

If a kid is guaranteed $1.5 million in NIL money if he stays or $1.2 million in the NFL if he goes, the decision making process ain't what it use to be.
He has to think about his future after next year. If he gets injured or doesn't have a great season he will go from a 2nd round pick to 4th or later. And that will cost him a lot more than 1 million. He's going, and he needs to. Thank You Jalin.

This is the part of NIL that rocks for fans. There can be enough money for a player like Hyatt to say the NFL can wait. He will be able to get paid a handsome sum of money, be a certified legend with one more good/great year, and get a degree.

Yupp. Just posted on his IG. I think he’s staying. If he was leaving, he would just announce it in my opinion. I hope he stays healthy and balls out next year if he does come back but his stock might never be higher than it is right now. He’s projected as a round 2 prospect. We shall see

Tillman is the ultimate cautionary tale right in his own backyard. Love the kid, hope he shuts it down and gets ready for the next level.

Thanks for an amazing season and for being a VFL.

247 mods are saying they would be shocked if it's anything other than going pro and not playing in the bowl.

So basically at 1:00 today he's going to announce he's going pro and quitting on his team before the season ends.
Do you feel the same way about Cedric Tillman?

Arian Foster comes to mind. Was a projected second rounder after his junior year. Came back his senior year. We sucked. He went undrafted

Well, I'm going on record as saying "I think he's staying". Just a gut feeling, or maybe that's my tummy saying it's lunch time. Hahaha, either way, I wish him success.

He had one really good year, but pro scouts will want to see consistency and a more developed route tree. Especially considering he had a case of the drops the year prior. I think he stays, proves himself, and ends up a late 1st rd pick. With him being able to receive NIL money it takes away some of the risk from him betting on himself. A first rd pick could mean a few extra mil.

Running backs are viewed differently in the NFL. Teams see them as expendable and their shelf life is not very long. Therefore teams rarely make the deision to draft them high in the first place. And thats why its better to get in the NFL as early as possible and try and earn a 2nd contract if you are RB.

He may pull a Peyton. Great if he does, good luck if he doesn't.

The ncaa used to not count bowl game stats as part of the regular season. I believe they changed that in the late 90s, after Peyton left

They should have never counted as part of the regular season, especially after the CFP came into being.

The sooner he gets drafted, the closer he is to his 2nd contract. To me, that trumps any NIL money. The 2nd contract is where huge pay days happen.
