Does anyone really think this incoming recruiting class will be that good?

Jordan Cornish, Larry Austin, and Philip Cofer are all solid players. Austin/Cofer are really borderline 4 star players, and really theres not a big difference between the two. Cornish is just a straight scorer, already has the build for college ball, he is by far are most underrated recruit. Turman is a low rated 3 star, he's a project but will likely get minutes due to depth.

The class isn't fantastic, but I think it's a solid class. I guess time will tell how good our class is.

Arkansas is as in the dance as we are at this point.

So if they make the dance then bump this?

Look, I said next year squad would be more balanced scoring, and you basically said that's not a good thing. I brought up Florida and you said they're too talented to compare to. I mentioned multiple teams that aren't all that talented and now you find a reason why you don't like it.

Just say, hey I'm not gonna agree or listen to anything you say because it doesn't fit my agenda and we will such next year?

No that's not what I'm saying.

What I'm saying is that there's plenty of examples other than Florida, of teams that play together and win with less talent than others.

Talent doesn't always win out, who's got more talent, Arkansas or Kentucky?

I know it is rude of me to interrupt the discussion, but I will note that USUALLY, those teams which win with lesser talent have superior coaching from a tactics, scheme standpoint. Alas, we haven't seen that from CCM yet.

Bump all you want, u usually do when u happen to be right about something....I would bump next season when we will be lucky to be a .500 ball club but Im too lazy. LOL Plus I dont want to brag about something Im hoping I am wrong about......Why do you think everyone always has an agenda?

What do you think next years record is?

13-17 (6-12)

I agree 100%, except of course for year 1 when he absolutely over achieved all media predictions.

Two things - 1 is truly personal opinion, but I suspect the low ball expectations at the front of the season were based on CCM as much as the talent. Not provable, but my opinion. Just looking at rosters, Tennessee with several 4 star talents didn't have the 11th worst roster in the league.

2 - Was the performance of that team based more on CCM strategy and tactics or the mid-season arrival of Jarnell Stokes? Again, not provable. He's done a few things, when backed to the wall like the four guard lineup last year and the 1-3-1 this year. Again, those are things he does with his back to the wall and he abandons them as quickly as he possibly can. That's not the mark of a great tactician or strategist to me.

How we close this season will decide my thoughts on next years team.

Regardless though, I see no way next years team is under 500. I mean hell, auburn is 500 lol.

Do either of you really think Tennessee has any chance at winning in the NCAA tournament? Our offense is too inconsistent. We need to go to what was working against Virginia. Josh Richardson kept feeding off the high screen and scored 4 to give us a hot start. Run in transition when we can because we have we have the guards for it. We were actually hitting three's because we were either a) kicking it out from the paint b) we screened for it c)jordan mcrae

You just kinda answered your own question no?

I knew what you were saying, but I think you kinda asked and answered in your post.

Can we win a game? Absolutely. We beat Virginia who is now ranked top 15 by 35 points, but we've also lost twice to A&M, that's why we're on the bubble.

Nobody knows what team will show up, if the team that waxed Virginia shows up we could win a couple games.

Can I just talk to Martin and ask why he isn't sticking to certain screen plays and isn't sticking to a rotation?

I don't think this class is this great. But the talent next year will be comparable to what Martin inherited. He still won 19 games.

Stokes, McRae, and Richardson are all significantly better than when they arrived on campus. Armani Moore continues to improve. I would say CCM has done a good job of developing players. They just don't seem to have progressed as much as a unit.

Richardson is my favorite player cause he plays hard every minute and he is a true team guy. Need 5 more just like him.

While some of the past recruits have been questionable SEC-level talents, this class as a whole is not. There are a couple that have the opportunity to be future All-SEC guys as well, but all are considered capable at this level. This isn't a UK class, but each individual is a player of a particular need. We are now missing the specialty shooter.
