Does this showing put extra pressure on us with the next 3 games?

This was our championship game. We have no venue to get us back in the discussion of play offs because there are too many undefeated teams ahead of us. Plus, this is not a good showing/not a close game, so plan on going to a bowl and playing some team like TCU or the likes. Georgia will not lose to Bama in the championship game, so this was our only shot and it's just not working out.
Certainly looks that way...

This game was always a bad match up except in the imagination of several posters on this board. They are too physical as an offense and have a great defense. Hooker has looked terrible which is a new development

No we'll be fine...Hell we weren't suppose to be this good so we'll finish out strong and hopefully slip in the backdoor of the playoffs...But if not the Sugar bowl isn't like a horrible thing...What this team has done is remarkable...We just ran into a better team this week is all.

I’m sure that was your exact thoughts before the Bama game to. What are you trying to achieve by saying this?

Only if we stay top 5 with a loss to UGA today

Not true. ESPN had us with a 66% chance to make the playoff with a loss today.

TCU and Bama have over 75% chance to pick up another loss. Clemson is lesser but still decent chance.

No need to panic

A much superior team who is headed back to a national playoff.

We should be able to beat the final 3 SEC teams and one would think would get the Vols in one of the better bowl games. Not what we wanted, but as I've previously said we must get our share of 4 and 5 Stars plus very good transfers to stay in the hunt!

If Tennessee can't muster any sort of offense, they're out of the CFP barring some sort of shakeup at the top. Tennessee's calling card was its vaunted offense - if that fails to show up today, you have to think we'll be behind every undefeated team on the list. And God help us if Ohio State loses to Michigan, because the only thing media voters love more than an undefeated Ohio State is a 1-loss Ohio State.

It actually pisses me off after the 15+ years we’ve had that people act this way and get this greedy. Damn if we lose we are 8-1. Who expected that this year? This season is a win regardless.
I don’t think it’s the loss. It’s the way they are losing. I knew a loss was a strong possibility. Defense got a couple spots, but the penalties on offense and poor execution, I wasn’t expecting that. I expected this to be a close game. Most did. This is rather demoralizing.

This isn’t true at all. If Tennessee is 6th, being TCU, and the horned frogs lose, Tennessee would be right back in position to make the playoffs.

Tennessee has no shot at playoff if we drop outside #5 on Tuesday after today’s loss. Star this post.

Edit: To even go further, it matters nothing what TCU does.

No. They realize they're not a champ caliber team ATM and needs to work on a lot if they're hoping for a playoff berth.

I agree Georgia has dominated on both sides of the ball ,and most importantly the trenches Not sure I'd blame this on Hooker cause they are pressuring him all day long and their man coverage is not giving him anything to throw to. We lost this game in the trenches.
