This game was always a bad match up except in the imagination of several posters on this board. They are too physical as an offense and have a great defense. Hooker has looked terrible which is a new development
What's the measurement then?Got exposed on a big stage, team was not fully prepared for a championship level tilt, personnel, scheme and game plan were not suitable for this game, Georgia is much better than Alabama, there is still a measurable talent gap between Tennessee and Georgia and an even wider gap in defensive schemes and methodology, a lot of take aways to work on in the off season
Yes we did, that punt really hurt. I wish we had gotten a safety. It would have been better. The rankings fired up a sleeping giant. They played their best game with 5 stars facing 3 stars.I'm more disappointed in the fact that we didn't match the physicality more than anything. They hit us in the mouth and we didn't respond
I thought it interesting that Kirby Smart made a point of saying they take zero from the portal. Is that a big deal? I personally don't see it as much of one. Who GAS?No way. We should run the table easily. Georgia gets so many 5* and the best 4* that they don't even use the transfer portal for pickups. It takes several years to build a team. Danny White himself is quoted as saying it takes 4 to 5 years. We're playing with house money and ahead of schedule. The re ruits are taking notice. They will come.
keep telling yourself that. We were embarrassed. Without key teams losing we’re out. And as happy as I am with this year, this loss showed a few things. We may not deserve a spot honestly. Not being negative, just honest. We are a long way from Georgia’s level.I already explained it and ESPN, FPI, and all the metrics bear that out.
