The comparison comes from Stanford is the closest thing to SEC style football. The only way to beat the ducks is to rough them up at both lines of scrimmage. If we can run and limit their run we got a chance.
Not trying to argue, but one point he brought up is a good topic. Are we really a good 25 point underdog, worse or better in the point spread. Such as we may lose by 14/25/42 for example.
Stanford has been far more successful in recent years than UT, I don't understand this comparison and why it continues to pop up. The only game on our schedule this year tougher than Oregon is Bama. No one's posting reasons why we're going to beat Bama, or Florida (better chance to win, IMO) I can't for the life of me understand why people truly think we're going to win at Autzen. I'm excited and want to see us compete, I'm pulling for the W, but if we lose I'm not going to be crushed. Oregon won more games last season than we have in the previous 2. That's EMBARRASSING

I think it's interesting that UT and O have had nearly the same ranked recruiting classes over the last 4 years. We should both putting the same talent on the field but that isn't the case. We have had some serious turnover in players either leaving early for the NFL or some other reason. They have a new year coach and so do we.
Autzen is very loud and a tough place to play. We won't have a lot of fans there, so we'll see how this team deals. I think we'll keep it closer than 25, but it will be a tough game.
The Ducks won big in Neyland 2010, because our players got discouraged and let them score at will. After the long lightning delays, and the Ducks coming back strong, we just seemed to deflate. Everyone wanted that game to be over. You could feel it in the air.
