The SEC at worst gets 3 programs in a 12 team playoff. Missouri finished 8th last year with Ole Miss right behind them. I like our chances with 10 wins.Yes.
I think any SEC teams that go 10-2, gets in. A 9-3 SEC team might even get in depending upon how much parity there is in the top 15-20 teams nationally.
I am not expecting that Nico’s first year. But if we do we will have to play good offense and defenseWe are all expecting a difficult schedule this upcoming season. Do we make the playoffs with 10 wins? My answer is yes assuming we win one out of three between Oklahoma, Bama, and UGA. Appreciate the opinion of the entire board and GBO!!!
I agree. Looking at the final regular season rankings for the last few years. The playoff cut (keep in mind only 11 P5 teams get in) falls right in the middle of the 10-win teams. So considering strength of schedule, a 10-win Sec team should be a lock. A 9-win team probably has no chance. Reason being that a few 10-win teams will probably be left out (Big 10, Big 12, ACC). Maybe political decision, but I don’t think a 9 win SEC team will get in over a 10-win team from a power 5 conference.I think 10 wins means a guaranteed spot in the playoffs. It also means we go 6-2 vs the SEC. no way they keep them out if that happens.
Her don’t have nearly as hard of a schedule as usual. As a matter of fact it’s one of the weakest schedules we have had in awhile. Will we make the CFP with 10 wins? I don’t know. I think it would require us to beat 2 of the teams you listed. We are all expecting a difficult schedule this upcoming season. Do we make the playoffs with 10 wins? My answer is yes assuming we win one out of three between Oklahoma, Bama, and UGA. Appreciate the opinion of the entire board and GBO!!!
