Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

I keep my dog on a leash. I don't like seeing things killed, but to each their own.

We have a large fenced yard
I don't believe in letting dogs run loose either.
Plott hounds are among the sweetest dog breeds with humans but they were bread for a purpose.
If you have a yard and a Plott then things are going to die.
Rabbits. Possums, squirrels, chipmunks, and if you get a pack together the occasional wild boar and bears.

Speaking of the hot tub....I open it and let it run for about 5 min before checking the chemicals. I came back after 5 minutes and this is what I found

It happens in my yard that is fenced in. For all I know, a cat got the bird first and then my dog got the carcass. I'm not going to keep my dog inside because she might kill 1 bird a year.

Also, if the birds are hurt and not dead, I take them to the refuge people here in town.

The way I see it if bird/rodent wants to live it has the choice of not coming onto my property. Once on my property it has the fighting chance of whooping my dog or cat and walking away.

We have 4 pups here. A Basset named Elvis. A Bluetick we rescued named Belue, an American Put named Mary May, and a mixed breed rescue named China Springs.

Nyssa staring at me while I am getting a dip of snuff. Dog loves Copenhagen.

Ruger giving me a goofy head-tilt while I am telling him to quit being a total jerk. He has got to where he runs up behind me and jumps in my recliner every time I start to sit down.

Beautiful dogs!

Thanks,

I hope things are going well for you. How is it working out getting yours squared up when they greet you coming home?

She's doing better, thanks to the tips you gave me. Wish I could get the wife to learn how to calm her when I'm leaving.
In my Malinois' little world, the pecking order is: me, Malinois, wife, ball, stick, then Czech Shepherd. Haha

She is one heck of a dog!

That's pretty funny. My mastiff likes to sit in my recliner if I'm not in it but he gets up when I walk up.

My pit loves to catch stuff. You can't water plants with her outside for her trying to catch the water stream. My daughter was blowing bubbles here and she was catching them.

LOL... they do keep us on our toes for sure. Ruger is still a work in progress. He has so much baggage from his first family. He still dog piles me in the middle of the night anytime he wakes up. I think just to engage me and make sure I am still here and accepting of him. Nothing like having a 120lb dog pile on top of you and start pulling the covers off, just to say hi at 3am.

Be safe,

CH_V
