Dogs of VolNation and other pets that are inferior to Dogs

As hard as it is, we have realized that we can't keep Cheyenne. She needs a big fenced yard and my wife has a full cup with two dogs and three kids. I'm going to talk with her owners tomorrow and see if a) there is a way they can ensure her safety or b) they would let us find her a good fit home. If anyone knows of a great spot for her to land, that would help. She's 13 months, shots up to date, chipped but not spayed. They have papers. Super affectionate and good with kids. She's a hound, so she will run if not contained.

This has been a gut-wrenching ordeal... I'm such a softy for pups...

The wife ran down a runaway dog that was spooked by fireworks. #realamericanhero

Hope you find her home. Coincidentally, I rescued another pooch today and was able to locate her owners, who were very thankful. I don't know how I assumed local stand-in humane society status, but I'm ready to pass on the status!

Phone # was on the collar. They showed up 20 minutes later.

So this hound does NOT want my Boxer near my wife and is growling and barking aggressively at her (the other dog). Do I just let them bark at each other/figure it out? I don't want an out-and-out fight!

She was kept in a bark collar until now and I wonder if she is acting out due to the freedom, just a new situation, stressed, normal "pecking order determination," or what.

Paging CH_V!

Cat bomb!!
But seriously, nice dogs everyone. This is my boy Miles btw. He acts more like a dog than a cat anyways.

Just because it has been 23 days since the last post. Gauge doing his 4th favorite activity, behind eating, walking and riding in the car. Chilling in the yard after the dew dries up:

I rescued a dog and the back story that happened to him makes me hope there is a special and awful place in h@ll for people that hurt animals. I will find a young person to upload a photo for me.
