Domique Allen

That is one nice rear end indeed.

Scout says his trip to LSU couldn't been better. I am almost certain we lose him. I am sure they are selling the Jacob Hester opportunity and highlighting the fact that our FBs are never used.

Although I hate to lose Allen, we have Williams so its a lose I can handle. He will be a star at LSU but would be buried on depth chart at UT. We aren't going to get anyone from TN.

Henry County beat Hardin County 47-27 to finish their regular season undefeated.

Allen had 56 yards on 9 carries for 3 touchdowns. Teague was 6 for 7 for 55 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 122 on 8 carries.

Do we have a better shot at retaining Allen's services, I should think so, but kinda depends on our new coach. If we get Leach, goodbye Mr. Allen, but on the bright side, we got Leach!

I think he was gonna leave anyways. The new coach thing might put it over the top or give him an excuse.

We've got more fullbacks and TE's than we need anyway.

Henry County fullback Dominique Allen withdrew his commitment to play football at Tennessee, his coach Joe Gaddis said Tuesday afternoon.

LSU is a strong possibility, Gaddis said.

Allen, who has run for 728 yards and 18 touchdowns this season as the Patriots enter the TSSAA Class 4A playoffs undefeated, committed to the Vols after last season.

The senior had been thinking about decommitting before Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer announced Monday he would not be back next season, but that also played a role in the decision, Gaddis said.

“He was thinking of doing that anyway,” Gaddis said. “He’s definitely done that now … He's done it in conjunction with the timing (of Fulmer’s decision).”

He was a really highly ranked FB though. Even if CPF stayed, I think he was good as gone. I am sure he will go to LSU to join their already crowded backfield.

We already have 3 fullbacks on roster now. Depending on who they hire we might not even employ a fullback next year. Besides Toney Williams is a better runner anyway and he's about the same size.

I love the two front page articles. One says he's still committed. The other says he dropped us.

I am sure that 3-6 had something to do with it as well.
This isn't the end of UT football. There will be plenty of kids dyinig to go to UT, and the right coach can come here and make them great.

You lose recruits when you make a coaching change..that comes with the territory.....go ahead and write this recruiting class off...and then if the next coach is here in time to salvage something, then that's a bonus.

Other articles say he's still committed. Some of you need to check out the recruiting forum every once in a while.

This is how it goes with coaching changes. The kids like some schools because of one coach or another. A lot of uncertainty on the Hill these days.:cray::sick:

According to "College football live" the class is still intact. / This remains to be seen. Maybe if we can get a proven college coach these guys will stick to their "verbal" commitment... regardless - we will be back. Go Vols !

Coach Fulmer said he would do anything he could to help the football team, so I wonder if he'd be so kind to try to talk his recruits into hanging around. :wink2:
