i knew this was coming for a long rime..he is gonna go to lsu and in my mind its the righ tmove he would be turned into a blockin fb here and lsu uses there full backs quite often... tough loss but i see why he is goin to make the switch
Hopefully UT will offer a chance to get him some touches - but if he ends up being a bayou bengal, then it happens. Like mentioned before - you can't fault him. He's trying to look out for himself. I wouldn't neccesarilly write him off yet - but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go to LSU. I hope that he'll have a couple of big games soon and maybe convince the staff here to offer him some touches. The kid can run the ball (448 yards on 40 carries with 12 touchdowns. He hasn't played past halftime in any game.)
Dominique's had success his whole career, though - 4 year starter at RB. He's ran well against a Gavin Hardin-led JCM team. He's ran all over a traditionally stingy defense in Memphis Melrose. He's a player. I don't see him keeping up the 11 yards a carry through the playoffs, but it's still impressive. This week will be more revealing of him and Marsalis, though, as Henry County takes on No. 4 State Ranked AAAA team Brighton.
Yeah, I agree with you. What I'm more interested in is what Teague will finish with in YPC. Right now he's at 20. It's a shame he's gonna get away - but in an interview with the Jackson Sun, he listed his top 5 - and the only team in there from Tennessee was Vandy.
And yes, as mentioned before, they play Brighton this week who is also undefeated. I think the HC should handle them fairly easily, though. Allen traditionally has his best game against them, though. We'll just see how it plays out.
Henry County beats #4 ranked Brighton 54-0. Brighton keyed in on Allen, stacking the box, and he didn't have a great game. Teague, on the other hand, had a field day.
Allen had 4 yards on 3 carries, with a touchdown. Teague was 7-13 for 102 yards and 3 touchdowns, including a "Jump-Pass" similar to Tebow. He also had 130 yards on the ground on 12 carries for 2 touchdowns.
Allen had 138 yards on ten carries for 2 touchdowns.
Teague was 9 for 12 passing for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had 59 yards rushing on 9 carries for a touchdown.
As do I. Many non-HC fans have called the team "special" and one that "only comes around every ten years or so." BUT, Henry County will have their hands full starting in the first round of the playoffs where they'll probably have to take on Kingsbury (Ole Miss Commit Gabriel Hunter's school). After that it'll be Memphis East/Fairley/Melrose - presuming they keep winning, then it's most like Hillsboro who'll be led by Eric Gordon. It's shaping up to be a great November of HS Football.
I live in the neighbor county to Henry. Went up and watched Allen a couple of times, this guy is the real deal. But, I watched Chris Donald at Hunington 4-5 times and thought he was the real deal. HC plays a tougher group of teams than Hunington does, but Allen looks like a man among boys out there, same way Donald did.
I hope we are able to hang on to this guy, going to be a good football player.
BTW, Teague is a special player to. All the talk at the game had him going to Miami.
Henry County took care of Jackson Northside 42-3 tonight.
Allen had 48 yards on 7 carries.
Teague was 9/15 passing with 3 td's no int's - 11 carries for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns, and a 70 yard punt return for a TD.
Staying with fullbacks, LSU could be close to pulling in a commitment from Dominique Allen of Paris (Tenn.) Henry County. Allen, the nation's No. 5 fullback, had been a Tennessee commitment, but he took an official visit to Baton Rouge this past weekend.
