Don’t do this to yourselves

I have to laugh sometimes at the people that get mad and post their emotions without comprehending what they're responding to. He responded to you as if you've guaranteed a Volunteer win and telling him hes wrong and a dumbass, after your post clearly said what you were actually saying. Lol.
It would be frustrating if I valued his take. It’s just the same old same old “this means that and that means this” talking down to others you purport to be having a CONVERSATION with that begs a response. Skip the “you haven’t watched football”, shut the **** up and grill!

Lol, I know what you mean. "Pump the brakes before you set yourself up for failure".

And my new favorite.." Don't do this to yourselves "

Can you or anyone else name a school that's similarly been what we've been through for as long as we've been going through it and had fans stop going to games, and the administration decided to go out and spend big bucks for a hero coach? Like you and Jack thinks gonna happen here.

That's an honest question, maybe there is one or more, I don't know, that's why I'm asking.
LSU

I do it to myself, EVERY game, it's part of being a fan. If we lose i'll hype myself up for Georgia.....and Auburn, by gawd!

Florida is not very good but we are worse. Their DL is better than our OL which determines most games. Their offense may not score much, but their special teams will likely make big plays on us.

We won’t lose because of the name on their helmet or our history with them since division play began. We will lose because we aren’t very good at football right now.

Put on your Big Orange Cup and get ready for a kick to the junk. Of course, please bump this if we win.

You should lose the avi and go with Goldie Hawn. Something far less masculine.

Orgeron? For serious? 🤣

If you’re referencing Saban? He was neither “big bucks” nor “hero coach” when they hired him away from Michigan State...34-24-1 is barely above .500. Better guess would be Bama and they had to miss on Rich Rodriguez first.

I don't remember and I'm not knowledgeable enough about all of it.

Did LSU fans help push out The major donor?

Back then would Nick Saban have been considered what you and Jack are talking about now? I mean, for you, was Nick a Chip Kelly or John Gruden type hire back then?

Was LSU's situation anywhere near the cluster fawk (administratively) ours is and has been for what, 20 years?

Not just that, but was their Athletic department and the Administration in general under such influence of a major donor as we seem to be? One who seems to hurt more than help?

Big Jack says we need to tell UTAD that they ain't gettin no more money until they stop listening to a multimillion a year donor. LSU do that too?

Do these people asking you to renew season tickets stop down to participate in contrived long winded conversations?

I am not pumping brakes and I am confident. If we lose, I can deal with it like most Vol fans. Jack Burton can go kick rocks, it's like he wants everyone to think like him or we can't handle it. Folks need to quit telling folks how to approach the game, nobody is telling the negative nellies how to approach it, it you want to be negative be negative. But don't even try to tell others how to handle theirselves. GBO!!!!!

Sparty was on probation and had not had a winning season for five years when Saban arrived. Saban too them to 4 bowls in 5 seasons, beat a #1 ranked OSU on the road, and never had a losing season at MSU. LSU doubled his salary putting him among the highest paid coaches of the time to get him in Baton Rouge. He was a huge hire. Behr asked and I answered. Of course, the usual peanut gallery who jumps on everyone else for poking holes and being negative had to chime in to poke holes and be negative. It's cool though. We'll all be buddies again in 3-5 seasons when we're collectively slurping up every Grumor we can stick a spoon in. Cheers. Go Vols!

I'm with you. This thing with CJP could work out. We've all got opinions and expectations. It's Florida week. Passions run high. Whatever happens, we're in it together.

I’ve had tremendous reverse mojo lately:

I thought Trey Smith wouldn’t get cleared but he did.

I thought JJ Peterson wouldn’t get cleared but he did.

I think Vols lose to Gators Saturday...

That's simply called "being wrong," Jack.

Nothing to do with mojo, or reverse mojo, or anything else complicated. You're just usually wrong.

I don't know the ins and outs of that side of things. The only thing I know is that they went through a decade of disastrous coaching hires that left them in a situation similar to where we find ourselves now. They recovered and got back being among the upper echelon of the SEC, and so will we.

Yea, but that situation doesn't seem anything like ours. Lots of schools have shelled out big bucks to get who they want, Michigan did with Harbaugh, A&M just did it with Jimbo, Bama did it with Saban etc, that wasn't the same. I don't remember hearing anything about their fans boycotting and all but rioting to force a billionaire donor out so they could hire those guys.

I just don't see it being the same as far as what Hillbilly and Jack are talking about, but whatever.

I don't see things changing until the administration decides to change it or we get lucky with a hire, like I hope and pray we have with Pruitt. He starts winning and a lot of these conversations stop. A win tomorrow will help.
