Just listened to a phone interview on CNN. The Donald strongly questions whether or not Obama was born in the U.S.

I used to think Donald Trump was a smart guy, until he started questioning whether Obama was born in the U.S. It takes about 5 minutes on google to learn that Obama's birth was published in both of Hawaii's newspapers and both of those papers have been scanned and are available online.

i'm not of this belief, but i do find his refusal to produce his birth certificate strange and i believe there is someting he is hiding. and btw not natural born does not mean not an american citizen.

Agreed. I love him saying he doesn't give a crap about Lybia. He's also a hard liner with Iran.

The really funny thing about the birther issues is that Trump released his own certificate and it had errors/deficiencies to it! I mean, talk about your "OOPS!"

Trump may file the papers to run, but I don't think he really intends to do much other than get on these shows and rant and rave. For him, like so many other possible GOP candidates, '12 is about just trying to uneelect Obama much more so than TO elect one of them.

That may be the biggest problem right now for Newt, or Palin,or Trump, or Huckabee. Their platform is perceived as about just getting rid of Obama. They aren't running on why they should be prez.

odd considering none of the four you mention has actually declared their candidacy, particularly Palin and Huckabee who don't appear to even be interested this time around.

Trump is the blowhard of blowhards. He thinks he is relevant because of his empire, which BTW, is built completely on a "house of cards".

American media to the POTUS 2003-2004:

"If you don't find and show us the WMD in Iraq, they don't exist."

America media to the POTUS 2010-2011:

"If you don't find and show us your birth certificate, we don't care."

All I am asking for is a little bit of journalistic integrity and consistency.

There is an amendment to the U.S. constitution that requires the President to be a natural born citizen, so Obama had to produce a birth certificate that shows he was born in the U.S. and this would have been checked against the hospital record to ensure it was not a forgery before he would have been allowed to run for President. Why is that simple concept so difficult for people to grasp?
