Pedophiles break the law by acting on their preferences. Homosexuals do not so I would say it is impossible for a pedophile to serve with honor.

morals is a standard that is set by God. we as humans have different standard. some people have higher standard than other.

as for conservative, it's based on traditions that America has had since it's been a nation. it's not to say that America is perfect but based on other countries, we did pretty well.

it's just an age set by government. they can change that age of consent. in europe the age of consent is much lower. what's the big deal. based on what you believe, the government can change it anytime. so pedophilia is just relative

Even with your beliefs as homosexuality being a sin, it doesn't fit your God condemning America thoughts. The Bible defines sin as sin. There are no levels of sin in God's eyes. So the queers aren't going to be the only downfall of this country, or no?

i agree, but when a nation continually goes against God's laws, he's going to judge them. that's why i've said it's another nail in the coffin for America.

You are talking about morals, I'm talking about law and whether a group or particular type of person can serve with honor. Raping children is against the law, two, three or twenty consenting adults having sex is not. By definition, pedophiles are incapable of serving with honor whereas gay men and women absolutely can and have for centuries.

The thing is this, I have never served in the military. Not serving is my greatest regret, in fact my only regret, in life. I grew up with an Airborne Ranger as a grandfather who was single handedly the greatest man I've ever known. He always said that the only qualifications he wanted in a fellow soldier was that when the **** hit the fan, they answer the call and keep themselves and others alive. What they put their **** into was immaterial.

Had I been lucky enough to serve, that would have been my exact stance.
