Could you please add in the numbers for team morale between the two coaches? As a coach, when comparing scores against common opponents who both Dooley and Butch have faced while at U.T., here are the facts.
Dooley
against Oregon: Lost by 35, Butch lost by 45
against Florida : Lost by avg. of 13.7, Butch lost by 14
against Georgia: Lost by avg. of 14, Butch lost by 3
against So. Car: Lost by avg. of 9.3, Butch won by 2
against Alabama: Lost by avg. of 31, Butch lost by 35
Add up all the point deficit against common opponents and Dooley lost by 103 point average per year against these 5 opponents. Butch lost by 95. So we have improved by 8 points total against 5 opponents. That is an average of 1.6 points per game. In the only head to head, Dooley won 45-23.
I like the new coach, and I see some improvement, but not nearly enough to make a person love one coach and hate the other. I can't hate either as a man, because I haven't met them.

I'm curious.
Apparently after the game they were saying that Bryant was trying to get everyone fired up about the game and momentum.
Witten was trying to calm him down apparently but Bryant was running around like an idiot. There is an article about it on Yahoo.sports.
Two points:
1) Read my next to last sentence.
2) Punk players are bad for team morale.
I am just saying that there is not a night and day difference in results between the 2 coaches yet. I don't get the hate for one, versus the love for the other. I moved on from Dickey, Battle, Majors, Fulmer, Kiffin, and Dooley. I am on board, no matter who is the coach, and I harbor no ill will towards any of them. Battle and Fulmer had the easiest jobs because they were both handed the keys to a well oiled machine. The others weren't. I can't hate their guts for that. Sorry.
